THis isnt an all time ranking.. If Nonitos career were to end today, i dont think any knowledgeable fan would rank him over JMM and Hopkins... As for Bradley and klitchko well i disagree with u on that ... Nonito had done more than them.. Who in the hell has Klitchkos beat that so good? He gets credit for domination and stringin together a number of title defenses, but he hasnt beaten any one elite like NOnito. And i still havent forgotten about him gettin laid out by Sanders and Brewster as well as his tough defense vs a Liimited although big punching Peter...... Bradley has done good and i have him 6th, but he hasnt beaten anyone as highly regarded as Vic or MOnitel. He has enough good wins to put him in the top 10 but definitely not enough to put him as high as Nonito.

I have Marquez 4th and hes still elite, but most everyone agrees that hes slowed down alittle bit.. Although still looking great in his wins,he has also had a some rough moments against good but not great guys...
Hopkins too he deserved the fight with Pascasl but it wss close.. And he isnt the most active...Also didnt look good against Jones...But in his showing against Pascal he did jump back on my pfp list I have him 7th.

the 1 thing i cant understand about donaire compared to darchinyan... darchinyan was a undisputed champ who couldnt crack the top 10 p4p ...but donaire beats darchinyan, montiel and a few fringe contenders and he gets a #3 spot:huh .....this isint about darchinyan it happens alot to other boxers getting "looked after" ... just part of the pro game i guess

The P4P list is a joke, with a couple of exceptions.

Its the way Nonito did it.. It wasnt just some lucky shot he landed against Vic..He was beating him up and winning every round before the ko... THen he blows out contenders who would lateron prove to be top guys in their division.. Add blowouts of SIdorenko and PFP guy Montiel.. Who has looked more dominant or impressive against top oppositon than Nonito(besides martinez)?

Bradley has fought the whos whos of 140 you idiot.
Has unified the titles twice and is still undefeated.

Klitchsko has been dominating HW for years and has hardly lost a round during that dominance.

Darchinyan and Donaire were VERY good wins. He devastated fighters with great straps under their belts. Sidorenko was a solid win as well.

Everyone's resume these days is thin, but Donaire absolutely destroyed two guys who had done quite a bit. I don't have him at P4P #3 yet though, that's Sergio. He's my #6, needs more fights.

    1. Bradley has unified 140 twice and thats the hottest division in boxing next to SMW.
    2. Klitschko has taken care of anyone in his weight class who has come to the top.
    3. JMM while is getting older is still in FOTY fights every year and is finishing top guys in his weight class.
    4. Hopkins just beat Pascal. The guy that he was given no chance to beat. Did you forget Pascal had to beat Dicanu and Dawson who was supposed to be the next American star? Dawson is still a hell of a fighter and he was beaten soundly by Pascal.
    5. I forgot to mention Froch too. He is currently one of my fav fighters. He went from most hated to favorite because he fights anyone is always exciting and hasnt soundly been beaten either.

Bernard Hopkins lost his pro debut to a guy with a 3-1 record. I guess by your logic that obviously affects his P4P status as well :nut

I think what's highlighted is your problem. If you honestly feel that Gam has faced better opposition than Nonito, then I completely understand why your perception is so off.

Montiel and Darchynian are 2 names that were ranked in the P4P.....they were legit and dominant champions. The way Nonito dominated them and by moving up in weight increases the meaning behind the wins.

Gamboa beat Solis and Salido who by far are the biggest name on his resume and he's not even a champion. It was a very good win...Not great! Nonito has two LEGIT GREAT wins.

By you giving too much weight being undefeated holds also warps your perception of reality with regards to this topic. Being undefeated only means something when you are in a position like Floyd, or Joe C. or Rocky Marciano. Why? Simple...they're proven against elite level opposition, they're champions, legit greats and they have longevity. Everyone starts off undefeated and if you have a bunch of soft touches on your resume then being undefeated means next to nothing.

    Answer me two questions.

How the hell does a defeat from TEN years ago effect current P4P ranking?

    Why is being undefeated important?

He's, uh, done more than Gamboa and done more lately than Gamboa, and, uh, is better and has beaten better fighters, held more titles and across more weight divisions and won more title fights and been a top fighter longer and uh...? Stop me any time now.
