Which is clearly not true, as Smith nicked Ray Robinson's i.d. to get into his first tournament, so there is at least two...;)

Dominance = undisputed. I don't recall seeing him dominate Johnston or Bazan or Nazarov or Mendy...

Where did I say he dominated the entire division in terms of cleaning it out? :patsch Oh that's right - nowhere. In fact, in that very same breath as referring to his "dominance at the weight" (obviously meaning dominance displayed in the individual match-ups that he did in fact have) I acknowledged that he lacked "the longevity and signature wins that would ordinarily earn all time greatness". So - you raise a point that is unnecessary. Thanks for wasting everybody's time with your inability or refusal to grasp semantic distinctions. :yep

The whole tone of that post you quoted was about how his lightweight run shows him to be an awesome h2h talent, but one with a thin resume. That just completely eluded you, huh?

 Here's my problem. If he wins, I get mild constipation, because of my hate. But if he loses, I get crippling diarrhea because my Pong loses (no homo), legacy-wise. You see? The more successful Kameda is, the better Pong's career looks. But, I hate Kameda's success, but I love Pong's success, but I hate, but I love but-but-but-but...

..thanks to the guys who mentioned george sugar costner. hugely underrated and practically unknown today. detached retinas ended his career. he beat kid gavilan nad would have contended...and i think won...the welter title after the real ssr moved up to middleweight.

and don't anybody come on and tell me that the great robinson kayoed him twice in the first round. in an interview he once said he wanted to get rid of him in a hurry because "that s.o.b is six feet tall and can box and punch.' he was pissed at george for using the name sugar, but said he thought about beating him up for a while but then changed his mind and decided not to risk it.

Christ! We forgot Sugar Baby Rojas!

And since he defeated Santos Laciar and ran Ncita close on two separate occasions, that's kind of a shame.
