Dead wrong bro, you're statement couldn't be farther from the truth! :smoke

Most people simply score a close round to the aggressor, if there's little to separate the two the movers are ****ED on the cards even if details show they actually did a lil'better. I've seen Mexican judges flat out score every round againt Mijares and Harold Lederman & the whole biased HBO crew (easpecially toward Shane "We Love You" Mosley) give every close round to the active dude no matter it has nothing to do what we score in boxing, which is punches landing. There are unfortunately just a few that I know of who care about the details, and if you do, 95% of the time there's enough input the separate the two.

If someone does just a little more in each of a 12 rounder, I score a close fight 120-108, and that's the ONLY objective way to do it. I don't care about records, commentary, crowd, location, volume, flair, punch stats, KO%, press scorecards, I don't give pity rounds or favor an aggressior or mover or counterpuncher. I only care about clean effective punching and that can result in cards you might call interesting, like me having Holyfield beating Valuev 118-110. Yes, I saw the old man just landing enough in 10 rounds to outdo Valuev's ineffective jabbing that never found target (in those 10) and in a different clash of styles, yes, I saw Mora getting the better of Mosley in 8 rounds.

Clean effective punching, it's that simple.

Here is the flaw in that statement. Shane's work was awful throughout and he was picked off coming in by light blows that were scoring!

I had it 9-3 for Mosley, I really don't understand how anyone could score rounds for Mora while he was busy not fighting.

I scored it even 0-0 neither fighter deserved to win a round, one of if not the worst PPV fight of a all time.

It's a shame that either fighter gets a bad rap. They both gave all the effort they knew how. It just wasn't the best display of their skill. Either guy. I respect anyone who steps in the square circle. It just wasn't the best match up to watch on a saturday night. Maybe the old Tuesday Nite Fights on USA or something like that but we should all just let it go. I know Shane did.

Or that being aggressive means you are being effective.

Great example. Interesting how 90% (latest poll stat I can remember) had Kotelnik winning that one while it wasn't a lot easier to score than Mora-Mosley it was just not as ugly. It seems an ugly fight or unusual styles make fans forgetting how to score properly. I don't say my scorecards are definite, hell, I can be blind. What I'm saying is that the METHOD I follow is and I'd make every judge follow it.

A lot of Alexander's flurrying was actually done at air. He was running away and shadowboxing.

I haven't seen the fight. I have seen hilights but can not find it on youtube. Based on Mora's style and Mosley's weakness. I supect that Mora is goin g to give Mosley probblemens anytime they fight. This is not to say that Mora > Mosley, bit Mora's style > Mosley.

How the **** can you say he was picked off by light blows? honestly? mother ****er did more holding than anything and just cus you land a shot doesnt mean its an effective punch, and thats what boxing is supposed to be scored on not just the fact that you made contact but that it was effective, some of you kids here need to ****ing wake up and realize that boxing is not just about moving around and making contact..... cut this bull**** out right now your staining the sport....

I actually watched this fight a second time (don't ask me why) in HD , and Mora definitely won. Mosley couldn't get anything off. I can count on one hand how many effective clean shots he landed. Mora on the other hand was outboxing him from the opening bell. It was ugly, but he still deserved to win.

The HBO commentary was ridiculously biased btw.
