It's not fair to even think about putting him in with Hagler. That was a career middleweight. "Super welterweight" pacquiao on the other hand cries about getting catchweights.

 

Hagler was always a middle never a welter.

Pac isnt a coward, he might actually would have fought them, I only give him a decent shot vs duran though, leonard and hearns both beat him. hagler fight would never happen.
but those 2 guys are in the top 3 welters in the history of the sport, so there is no shame in it. I do think he would own prime hoya,trinidad,chavez at 140 and have a shot vs whitaker based on activity. this is controversial though.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. I think Manny is a great fighter, top 30-40, but I'm not jumping to conclusions on him being a great WW. Mosley USED to be a great WW, but even he was never on the level of the Fab 4. Floyd, a former undisputed champ, but so was Spinks and Judah and all 3 basically fought the weak opponents to be in that position. Being undisputed WW champ against bums means nothing. Margarito and Cotto both were recently ko'd before Pacman got to them and Cotto seems to be making a decent comeback. Clottey a big defensive minded WW is about the best win for Manny at the moment because he's the only guy that wasn't damaged goods or recently ko'd. Manny beating a legit WW like Floyd or Ortiz would give him much more credibility. Comparing Manny or Floyd to the Fab 4 I see nothing at this point that would put them in a situation to beat Duran, Leonard, Benitez, Hearns, or Hagler. When Pacman or Floyd decide to fight Martinez, Ortiz, and each other, then we can make a case to compare to the true greats. Right now it's even laughable to compare.

I can actually see Pac beating Duran. SRL would beat him but hell that would be a great fight to watch

 

hearns ktfo duran after duran lost to hagler, does that make it a meaningless wins for the hitman? I think its one of his best wins, especially the way he took him out. Cotto is obviously pacs best win at welter.
