By Rafael Soto Mexican star Jorge Arce said he is ready to unseat the WBO superbantamweight champion, Wilfredo "Papito" Vazquez Jr. of Puerto Rico, and predicted a knockout win to make history. Arce faces the unbeaten Vazquez Jr. (20-0-1, 17 KO'S), on the May 7 Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley undercard at the MGM Grand. "They don't think I have a good chance to win, but I will prove the experts wrong and I will knock him out. At bantamweight I feel very strong and I did not kill myself with a diet, which worked well for my strength and I'm ready to step into the ring and beat Vazquez before the twelve round distance."
I actually believe Papito will knock the dust off Arce and win by late TKO in a relatively easy fight for him.....but of course, anything can happen.
+1 I got Vazquez Jr. in the 9th, but I don't think it will be that easy, like you said, anything can happen.
Pretty good card saturday I think Vasquez will stop Arca late on I feel It will be competitive until probably the mid rounds.
Still haven't had the chance to really watch WV2 closely... I'll peep out some vids of him in prep for the fight on Sat.
WVjr is the opposite of Juanma...he's been improving after every fight,i can tell this kid is very dedicated and his dad has been a good influence...he is a natural with skills that has been developed at a late stage in his life.I dont know if he is destinated from greatness, maybe not.But he will move along his carrer with success. Arce too old and little...Vazquez take this by UD or late KO
What kind of a chin does WV2 have? I've only seen one of his fights but didn't see him take a solid shot. Can anyone enlighten me? Arce we know can take a shot, but at this stage of his career he might of taken too many and they have taken a toll on him.
