B.....Scene is saying that there is a chance JMM could face David Diaz on July 2 in Vegas. Article says there are several names under consideration(doesn't list them) and that its a way of preparing for a fall fight with Pacquaio.
Meh...I suppose if it's a tuneup, then ok, but there are better fights to be made and JMM knows this. I think he'll pick someone else. The monetary/legacy reward isn't there for this kind of match-up.
Please tell me this is a joke? Come on now.... JMM is above this. He shouldn't be fighting what is essentially a tomato can now. A fight with Judah would provide a lot more money and would be winnable
But its riskier, marquez is not going to risk his biggest payday at the end of his career by taking on a fight we all would like to see but is dangerous. It will be a easy tune up fight like a david diaz type fighter. I cant blame him honestly because if I was in his shoes I would probably do the same to avoid losing the big pay day.
I think he should face Judah. Perfect preparation for Pac. Diaz i guess is someone he can punish for some quick money but it wont benefit him in the long run. I gues if ring rust is all he is trying to get rid of this fight is fine but Judah to me would be the better choice to prepare him for Pacs style.
Wow, so **** drinker, instead of fighting zab, he's goin take on a dude that no body ever gave credit to and said was a bum **** drinker a sucka
Yea the same dude Pac ducked JMM for 7 mil for. Now Diaz is a bum?? I agree he has ALWAYS been a bum. I think the only reason they arent taking the Zab fight is because JMM is succeptible to cuts and a gash can put off a fight for months so if the Pac fight is a go ahead then i dont care about this fight. It better not be PPV cause i aint buying it then.
i dont really want to see a 37 year old marquez waste a fight against diaz no offense to diaz but he got a bs decision versus morales and all true boxing fans know he didnt have a hope in hell with pac and since that fight he looks to scared to even use his trade mark agression and relentlesssness
