Could this be why Juan Marquez is hesitant to work with Top Rank?

    manny is Top Rank's most beloved fighter, and they tricked him from a $25mil promise down to only $6mil.

    Juan Marquez was only promised $5mil, and they defly don't hold him as highly as manny over at top rank. If they can easily cut their starplayer just like that, I don't see why Marquez would get any special treatment.

    Crazy!!:lol: But I've seen crazier **** in this sport. Going from $22 mill to $6mill is a HUGE decrease. If that's his guranteed purse, then both Shane and PAC are getting jobbed. Unless they are confident that the PPV numbers will set records.

    Pacquiao will make the bulk of his money through PPV sales, which are not reported to the NAC beforehand because Arum doesn't know how much exactly the fight will generate.

    The official purses quoted by the NSAC don't include PPV numbers or live gate.

    Thats not ture. Manny is guaranteed $20million and shane $5million. ffs Marquez got 4.5million for that Kats fight.

    I've been saying he needs to leave Arum for a while. Oscar did it and Floyd did it and both admit that it was the best move they could have made with their career.
    Arum is good to have if you're a semi-start or up and coming fighter. Like I'm sure some of the amateur fighters in the World Series of Boxing would love to sign with Top Rank or if decided to go pro, I'd want to sign with them or Golden Boy
    But once you reach that superstar status and everybody is calling your name out, there is no real need to have him.

    Arum has done more for Pacquiao than DLH could've ever done. Love him or hate him, Arum is a dinosaur with a lot of connections. He's as powerful and influential a promoter as they get in the sport of boxing.
