What's a "shrug"? Maybe I know it some other name...

That training routine is indeed insane. Even if he did only half of that routine, it's still pretty incredible.

yeah i dont think he was trying to build muscle either but if he was doing it strictly for stamina hed been doing strictly stamina excercises and these are strength excercises and in excercises such as these with this high level of intensity you would still need a proper recovery time between sessions.

a shrug is just shrugging while gripping a barbell. it builds the shoulders and trapezius i believe.:huh

No it is not bull, do you even know how intense the life of a boxer is? My brother in law lived that life Hector Colon. He was on the USA amature boxing team and he had been in the ring with DLH/david reid/winky wright/ Beat vernon forrest twice in the amatures etc etc. POINT BEING, when you're competing on a REAL PROFESSIONAL level, you eat sleep and **** boxing 14 hours a day! My bro in law did this throughout his entire child hood, its called dedication and turning your body into an actual machine. Sleep run go back to sleep train eat take a nap go back lift weights come back eat sleep...same **** every single day.

Physical limits? how about Mayweather's 6 thousand punches in each of his training sessions? That sounds like a physical limit too doesn't it?

no trust me its bull, your muscles can only do so much and there is such a thing as too much. and yeah i got a pretty good idea how intense the life of a boxer is ive been around boxing for a while. if you do the same routine every single day, day in and day out your body will eventually exhaust itself, its as simple as that, you cant work your upperbody 7 days a week you wont make any progress because your not letting your muscles recover back stronger then they were before. and what about the whole oatmeal thing? i mean why would they say he eats only that and then say he eats oatmeal at 10 am? so you gotta realize somethings not connecting here.:patsch

I got some rare sparring footage of him randomly talking about everything including training and he mentions alot of this.

Isnt your routine like this Mark? :D

hope you're joking. the sleep was important (as it is with anyone) to his development allowing mind and body to regenerate especially with such a rigorous routine.

I have been a member of TysonTalk for almost 4 years. And i have seen this training, many times before.

And it changes every time and is very inaccurate.

i'm not saying that this is/isn't his routine...but i seriously doubt he did the same things every day. he would have burned out if he did. i would think that was a routine followed every other day or something like that. i've seen footage where he did a lot of drills for technique.

Insane --- I dont think so.
    Pretty dam good --- yes.
He trained hard and thats what it took to be the youngest heavyweight champion in the world.
Every day or most days , 1000 or 2000 situps --- it doesnt matter.
He trained for success at the highest level.
