Mayweather Targets Miguel Cotto, Victor Ortiz for Tune-Up Fight

Cotto has the 1 tool it takes to beat Floyd.

I'm actually surprised to see the Mayweathers actually say something non-negative about Pac. Personally I think Ortiz is the better option for them as not only is he southpaw, but he also came off a huge win while having faults in his style.

Cotto is a good matchup too, but I dunno about how they feel about taking Manny's leftovers after they mentioned the opposite.

 

I'd rather see Victor Ortiz in against Floyd Mayweather. He has the fresher legs and would go all out.

I wouldn't want to see Cotto get embarrassed. I don't think Mayweather would stop him, but I think he would completely outbox him and make him look foolish.

I say he fights Ortiz as Cotto is a more dangerous animal than Ortiz, Ortiz is there to be hit, although Cotto would bring in more money than Ortiz

 

Oh for fecks sake PinoyLover! Purlease change the record, your **** is getting old fast... Mayweather dispatches Cotto in ten or less. Cotto fades fast when he gets tagged so won't fight in the pocket against a better counterpuncher and defensive master and he doesn't have the legs to run against Mayweather if May goes on the offensive.

 

Have I missed something here? Since when are cotto/ortiz that lowly regarded they are seen as tuneup fights?

Aren't these two the best fighters in their division not named pacman?

Either of these vs floyd is 50/50, I just don't see the guy as on another level anymore. If he dominated either i'd say he has a good case to be seen as number 4 p4p behind pac, donaire and martinez.

Ortiz doesn't have a jab, that's his biggest downfall against floyd, but he's still a young aggressive south paw.

 

A fight with Cotto would be huge. Cotto is the humble, blue-collar type of guy fighting the brash, im-all-about-bling, trash-talking Mayweather. That would make for a good 24/7. I think it would do better than Pac v Cotto because of their opposing personalities. Pac v Cotto was basically nice guy v nice guy.

Have to go with Floyd on either of these fights.
