Bute to fight Mendy in July in Romania and Pavlik in October in Atlantic City

Kessler's eye is messed up and if he does not fight again, that would suck but it might be the best thing for him. Dirrell, I don't think would fight Bute atleast not now, he would get ko'd being off for so long.

I think you will see Bute/Pavlik this year. He will have to wait until next year to beat Ward/Froch.

Bute would ruin Pavlik. Bute fights similar to Sergio Martinez, except that he is a lot bigger and hits a lot harder. Pavlik gets hit too much and would get KOed.

I'd be willing to bet you that Jack Loew wouldn't let Pavlik get anywhere near Bute.

I don't think Pavlik will fight Bute this year, Steiglitz (spelling) or Froch are far more likely.

 

Pavlik needs another win before he looks at Bute. Kelly got the win last night over a fighter who was probably better than expected, but I think he needs one more before he goes after a top guy.

 

Mcgee wasn't a mandatory fight. It was the best fighter that Showtime found for Bute to fight outside S6.
