Iole is spot on. i scored it 10-9 to mosley aswel. Beggs the question why the **** did two judges give manny 120 points! Thank god it wasnt a close fight coz thats quite a major **** up.
any other fighter apart from pacman, the judges would never have stood up to kenny. thats just my opinion they would have just thought meh...
I don't think there's a written rule that in cases of KDs, the knocked down opponent gets a 1 point deduction. The judges will respect the referees call that it's a KD but they don't have to score it that way. Same case for point deductions, they will respect and acknowledge the call of the referee. However, in this case, there is a specific need to deduct the point from the offending party.
"The judge has in its power to look into the call"... Kevin mentioned in the interview. Did you missed that out? And continue insisting on 10-9 in favor of Mosley for all 3 judges?
People don't get that. There were obvious bad calls in the Berto fight as well. Why didn't the judges score obvious knockdowns then? I'm sure the judges saw them, but as you say rules are rules. If judges don't follow the rules, it makes you wonder how bias they were.
If the ball doesn't go over the line in football but the referee gives a goal it counts. Same principle.
they cant just not rule it a KD! In the berto ortiz fight they didnt take it into their own hands and start handing knockdowns out! The ref ruled a KD. WRONGLY but the ref ruled it a KD so the judges have to take that into consideration! Therefore pac could not have gotten 10 points in that round
So Kevin was spot on at one point and totally wrong on another on that interview? Unbelievable. **** Mosley didn't even trow a punch. The judges has to take that into consideration as well, hence two of them invalidating a call. Leave other fight out of this, we are talking about the 10th round of the Pacman vs Mosley fight.
Iole contradicts himself.... he says "it's 10-9 for Pacquiao, but then you gotta give the point to Mosley for the KD, so it's 10-9 for Mosley." That doesn't add up. Actually if you do that, you're giving two points to Mosley. The one that you're adding to his 9, and the one that you're deducting from Pacquiao's 10. If you're gonna give Mosley ONE point for a KD in a round that he lost, then 10-9 becomes 10-10. simple logic really. If the round was a DRAW. and then you gave Mosley a point for a knockdown... then you could say 10-9 for Mosley.
wtf you on about! He said ''the ref has it in his discretion to say even though he was knocked down, he can say well the other guy still won the round''. he never says the judge can OVER RULE a Knockdown decision made by the ref! go to 1 minute in the video he clearly says ''you have to score the knockdown coz the referee ruled it'' watch the vid again http://sports.yahoo.com/video/player/box/YSports_Boxing/25159571#box/YSports_Boxing/25159571
also the announcer said that mosley won 2 rounds on one of the judges scorecards, and lost 1 round on the other two judges scorecards. he clearly didn't lose a single round on two of the judges scorecards if he got a 120
Did you finished the interview on Kevin? "The judge has in its power to look into the call." - Kevin Iole
