Wow so no one considers the fact that Mosley just kept going down hill ..Yes Manny out performed Mayweather but he did it against a worse version of Mosley !

Floyd out performed him to be honest. I thought Manny was going to KO Shane. Shane only won 1 round with Mayweather, but even that round is disputed. Mayweather pretty much controlled that whole round, up until the two punches, and after the two punches he took over the round.

I'm just being honest. I thought Pac would swarm the whole night, but he had difficulty landing when Mosley started to move and dodge some of his shots with head movement. Pac got into this state where he was not throwing combinations, just one punch and shane was actually boxing him. Shane has a terrible jab, it's just pushing ... and he couldn't even pull the trigger on his right or left hook. I don't think he throw 1 left hook.

I feel it is obvious, Mayweather.

Manny did dominate Shane, but at times seemed completely befuddled with movement and found it hard to penetrate through the defense to land shots. Even Pac could not follow up on his KD and make something happen. I thought the fight wouldn't go past six, but SSM was actually "in" the fight and looked to only need to pull the trigger to actually make something happen. Mosley was actually blocking, moving, and occasionally sticking a jab. This to me was the most telling aspect of it all. Contrast this to Mayweather's performance and the writing is on the wall.

Mayweather was landing crisp jabs, booming right hands, and beginning to dominate SSM early. (The big shot Mosley landed and the fact that Pac didn't finish Mosley gave me more assurance that Mayweather could weather Pac's punches.) By the 7th round it was complete domination. So much so, Shane's corner was talking about tossing in towels because it looked so hopeless versus "Right hand Shane!". Shane was getting beat at range, in close, etc... It was ugly. Honestly I think only Bayless saved SSM from going down.

I think both men (Mayweather and Pac) are great fighters, but I think the difference here will be the versatility of Mayweather. However you can't discount Pac's power so I think a KD is very possible.

Shane completely locked up when manny dropped him. Floyd, he kept trying, the punch stats were fairly consistent and Floyd kept countering him as he threw.
Naazim also said they were goin to take notes from the clottey fight. My impression was manny convinced Shane he should just make it to the bell. I never thought Shane would settle for surviving

After thinking about it I believe Floyd had a better performance. Based of the fact he looked much cleaner. He made that fight look easy as pie. When Mosley started moving Manny wasn't landing az well. It didn't help than Shane ran like a female though. Against Floyd Shane held his way to a decision. I also understand that Pac scored a knock down on Shane. Beautiful combo by the way. Nazim was getting ready to stop the fight when Shane fought Floyd. I honestly thought Pac was going to KO Shane when he knocked him down.

Both PAC and Floyd absoulutely dominated. Due to their styles, they are hard to compare but one thing is for sure, BOTH completely shut Shane down. PAC's performance was a bit more dominating based on the Knock down but Floyd performance was more techinical. I think Shane RAN from PAC far more than Floyd which allowed Floyd to capitolize on mistakes more than what PAC had last night against Shane. Great performance by PAC!

I agree that Floyd's performance was cleaner but again, as you mentioned he wasn't running away like Shane was against PAC. Which played a part in the "cleaner" performance. There were simply more opportunities for Floyd to capitolize on vs PAC. But the KD was the difference for me.....Based on that KD, Shane decided to survive. With Floyd he got a KD on Floyd and wasn't running away.

well, fighters have had common opponents before. yeah its tempting to compare there performances since they having been fighting many of the same guys but the point keeps getting proven over and over, that they both are so much better then everybody else that at this point there arent going to be any more relevant fights for either man. but by nature, pac will probably more impressive against the same opponents for obvious reasons

i see there are no surprises in this poll. everyone you would expect to pick floyd, does, and vice versa. aside from nearly geting his ass ko, i think floyd fought a better fight against a more willing mosley.
shane got real respectful real fast against pac and effectively killed any chance of pac doing what he does best. pac was not able to force his fight on shane the way floyd did so in the sense of fighting your fight, floyd did better.
from floyd, i got pretty much what i expected, including the chin check he got. from pac, i felt like he was just going through the motions, no urgency, desire or passion.
after rd 2, shane forgot about trying to win and went into trying to hold on to his senses for 12 rds.

Not sure how anyone can come up with Floyd.

    - Mayweather was rocked, hard, by Mosley, and then rocked again
    - Pac, wasnt.

    - Pac scored a clean, legit, buzzing knockdown on Mosley
    - Floyd Mayweather, didnt.

Mosley not only had more success (however small it was, early on) against Floyd then he did against Pac, he also didnt get knocked down against him. And I bet you Mosley would much rather go through the Mayweather fight all over again, then having to go through the Pac one.

Not sure how anyone not being bias can think that somehow Floyd had the better performence against Mosley. Yes, Mayweather dissected Mosley and looked good and clean doing it after the first two rounds or so..... But Pac straight bombed Mosley on his ass and made him literally run around the ring and had practically no trouble the entire night. If someone wants to say they were = performences, for whatever reason, that I could somewhat understand I guess.... but to say Mayweather had the 'better' showing against Shane, idk... just dont see it.

    Just imo

Pacman fought the "leftovers" and most "elite" boxers from 130-160 have stated Floyd would beat Pacman. Shane landed at 35% against Pacman, against Floyd he landed at 18%.

I realise that but four common opponents? May and Pac are head and shoulders above the rest I dont see anyone outside of Martinez who could beat either them.

Maybe JMM could make it competitive with Manny again as he is very skilled but the weight is a big concern for me right now.

I didnt really enjoy that fight last night though and for the money without the unercard it certainly would have been a robbery like most people predicted.
