I'm not sure about Perez yet. I mean in terms of fighting to the best of his potential I think he can be up there no doubt. What I mean specifically is- his commitment. I saw Perez in his first couple of fights in the flesh and he looked in physically better shape back then in comparison to last night. That is going back over 3 years ago now. If last night presented the carrot to him to fully dedicate himself than yes- I think he would take everyone on the list including Chisora. When Perez fights his next opponent I will be very interested to see how he looks at the weigh in. If it is obvious he has been putting the work in, the probability of considering any wagers on him, will be greatly increased.
Sexton was in two big fights that he won against Rogan. Perez is representing Ireland, so yeah it could be if done right. It has the good v's bad element that sells and they are heavyweights.
I think Price and Chisora would knock him out. Reckon the best fight would be Fury, which could go either way. He easily handles the others. That looping lead right he was throwing all night was causing damage but leaves him right open to be knocked out.
Its a shame, he has the personality of a cardboard box. He's black, He's based himself in Ireland, he's a exciting fighter...??? He could bring some hype, he needs to put his balls on the line.....and start building his image/product up. People just don't have a clue these days. No wonder David Haye is retiring, the sport is full of boring people.
The quality in Prizefighter was poor last night. The kid's got talent, but i wouldnt get too excited just yet.
One thing is pretty certain about Perez , he's world class , or at least he looks it , none of them are world class , so to that end you'd have to fancy Perez to beat them all , his weakness looks to be his size and punching power for HW , but he may fight differently outside of a prizefighter tournament thats honestly the first time ive ever laid eyes on him
Jesus, that's hardly a bold prediction. One of the top three heavyweights in the world, a former unified Cruiserweight champion, as against a guy who had 12 professional fights yesterday?
I don't think he looked in bad shape last night. What impressed me most was his handspeed and his willingness to force the action, he wasn't shy was he. Of course, like many Cubans who turn pro, you have to worry about his conditioning and willingness to look after himself. I'd back him to beat Sexton, McDermott and Fury (Fury's a bully and would **** himself if someone really took it to him)...I'd reserve judgement vs Price. Chisora 50 50. PK - he just needs to learn English better, I'm sure he's got some character...
