They were keeping quiet until this fight was done and dusted. He's still very much their fighter. It wouldn't surprise me if his first defence was in Tasmania either.
There is no way Geale makes more fighting in US, Mexico and Europe like some suggested. How would he do that? It would have to be a unification fight, and even then its no where near the 1 million plus he would get against Mundine, especially if co/self promoted after taxes. Overseas promoter will want a big cut. Not sure how the Gary Shaw thing comes into a Mundine vs. Geale fight And if Geale brings someone hear how is he going to sell it to make more than Mundine fight. Just because he has the title dont mean that much in terms of money...Its how you sell it. Look at Green. Got to give him credit, he sells that IBO Title. Geale needs to get some Grrrrrrr media wise. This is as much a show as a sport. Its the fight game
Wouldn't some more OS exposure lead to bigger money? Maybe not right away but staying here to fight might bring more in the short term, Geale's high activity style is good to watch and while he may not have that KO power, spectators would get full action fights. There must be a few reasonably known fighters, sa
IMO Geale needs to build here first....hes the champ now but he needs to get known here and supported here. Fighting choc gets him that increased profile.....when he beats him this time he will then have a much higher profile than he did before. This leads to the Grange being able to take the better fights as they can be confident they have a solid PPV base in AUST to boost any purse earnings. Its important Grange can offer the mandatory enough cash to do a deal outside purse bids so the fight stays in AUST or at least goes to the USA under Shaw. BTW Shaw handles the international dealings for the Grange/ Geale....if Geale fights Mundine it will be Grange/ BOXA.....wont have anything to do with Shaw. IMO Geale should fight choc first and grab the cash....building his profile so they can afford an offer the mandatory cant refuse :good

There must be a few reasonably known fighters, say Manfredo jr, easy fight and plenty know who he is. . . .I dunno, just don't want to see him hide down here.
not sure if this link has bee posted, but mundine might be chasing geale now: http://www.foxsports.com.au/Other+S...052883326?subcat=1225914720791&site=FoxSports Cheers
lol...."the first man ever ever"....... He is a classic ******. He had a chance to be "the first man ever ever" to win in descending weights but he stooged everyone at "The Big Aussie Bash". It was "The Pioneer", now it is "The First Man Ever Ever". "The First Man Ever Ever" is an "A" grade ass clown.
The big thing I noticed in that video was the girl in the background can really put her shots together with some speed and power :good The second thing I noticed is Cory Spinks is the only fighter rated higher in the IBF than choc so now I'm thinking Geale V Mundine II is a 100% goer :deal So taking a big guess at things..... Geale can take a fight in Tazzie (may even be against Sam Soloman # 9 IBF)then bring mandatory # 1 Spinks out here later this year while choc is fighting for the 154 title then it's back to MW early 2012 for a super fight down under :yep
Watching Mandy the muppet speak **** like that just convinces me even more that Geale should not fight him. :-(
That "muppet" can give Geale the thing he NOW needs the most now....public attention and support. Mundine gets media attention like it or not mate :good
I'm not denying that it's true, and that it is the biggest short term money spinner. What I'm saying is that I wouldn't give the muppet the satisfaction, it just makes him more pompous an arrogant. As I said earlier, sometimes I do things to cut off my nose, just on principle. Geale is one determined lad, yes it would make his rise to the top happen faster, but he doesn't need it to get there.
