I really dont see it that way. Mosley really tried in rounds 1 and 2 before he even rocked Mayweather. I didnt see none of that early on against Pacquiao. Plus did you see how many punches Mosley was dodgeing from Pac?? to me that means he was clearly in shape and had clear chances to land counterpunches and didnt even try.
You're crazy. That was the best gameplan Shane could implement. Did I think he could win...NO. But it was the best way to prevent him from getting the **** beat outta him. If he decided to fight like old Shane or Margarito Shane, he gets the **** beat outta him and stopped.
Fixed just like Emmanuel's last two outings. Mosley was likely paid a bonus not too pull the trigger (even if he could). The future of the Manny brand is just too valuable too be tarnished.
What did you expect? Mosley has been a frontrunning hack for years. I wish he had done us a favour and retired after the Winky Wright fights.
So, let me get this straight: People are surprised that a 40 year old fighter with money problems and who looked terrible (probably completely shot) in his last two fights wasn't interested didn't get into slugfest with a sharper and faster fighter? Really? :nono
Its funny how some of you guys said that the fight was fixed when Mayweather beat Mosley, but in all honesty Mosley seemed to fight worse in this fight compared to the Mayweather fight. Like buckdacious said, how do you go the entire fight without throwing your best punch. Shane needs to retire, if he doesn't my knew name for him is Michael Phelps, because he took a dive in Saturday nights fight!!
I saw Shane try early on and landed a couple of right hands that were solid, but PAC took them well and kept it moving. Shane dodged a lot of punches but not through head or upper body movment...he used his feet to run away, which I don't really count as slickness. It's a form of defense but at it's most basic level. Shane didn't try b/c the consequences were too immense to take the gamble.
