I think that we should also look at which Tyson was better. The Tyson before prison or the one after.
I do not talk ****, i talk the Truth. I give Mike Tyson credit for his achievements what actually happened, what actually happened in history. No what could of, or should of happened And i do not give credit for mate believe match ups. Truth Hurts.
It was not Don King, Robbin Givens or Desiree Washington that screwed Mike. Teddy Atlas and Kevin Rooney done that with this unhuman training routine and, as much as he wanted, Mike could only look forward to do the easiest and that was knocking out Berbick and all the previous. Cus just wanted that Liston replica cause he couldn't get the Patterson fight out of his mind. Mike is the true all time great story of boxing and one of many scape goats of this miserable society we all live in.
Cus was a great trainer and tactician , but dietician he was not.. It has only been in the last 10 years that many fighters have looked at diet as closely as they really should.. Mike did also beleive in suppliments and when he hooked up with Tommy Brooks.. I hope i am not out of line exposing this but he was on a course of Male Growth Hormones.. He lost a lot of solid mass while in jail.. He was 190 at one point.. He didn't look unhealthy but wasn't near in fighting shape.. Young Mike was still a growing young man and the solid Red meat diet was great for his muscle development.. It really didn't hurt him.. I was invited to Mikes Las Vegas residence for a function in 1997 , I was unable to go but many who attended told me of the foods that were on offer..They said he ordered around 200 giant fresh lobsters and Ice swans filled with Large Cravettes unshelled probably 2 to 3 thousand.. Mike loved seafood.. Mike also loved to dring Long Island Ice tea.. They had hundreds of magnums of Bollinger and Crystal... He was classy.. he spent around 200 g's on that party... Just for a midsummer get together. I often wish i had made the effort.. My buddy Al Williams went and he went on about it for ever.. He never saw such a lavish spread..
In his day, he was revolutionary.. he was in his own class, like Bruce Lee was to MMA. I still think he used illegal supplements in the '80s... nevertheless.. he was a beast, not many can come close to him.
I worked alongside Mike In Las Vegas Golden Gloves Gym in Las Vegas around 1996 to 2000.. He was a lovely cat.. Some of the best characters were in camp back then.. Bramble, Crocodile, Ant Pitts, Leroy Seales, Stan Allen, Calvin Jones, Nate Tubbs , Ollie McCall, John Bray, Ritchie Giachetti, Panama and Stacey.. Al Williams (My Avatar) ... Kirk Newman.. James Broad.. Great times... very memorable..
So you're saying Bruce wasn't revolutionary to MMA? Despite not having recorded fights.. or was a prize fighter?
well obviously the description is not exact word for word. chicken or steak - you get the idea - proteins. and of course this routine doesn't apply to every single day of his life. the strictest regimen applies only to trainng camp (my guess) and the other days are lighter. as for tyson being socially poor - i wouldn't blame it so much on the regimen as him not being a very intelligent, socially disciplined person. physically disciplined yes - socially - that is different. he sees an attractive person - he gropes her without thinking at all. michael jackson is one guy who was fine but artificial torture from his father is what messed him up so bad (OBVIOUS) and he should be seen as a tragic victim rather than a psycho.
No, he wasn't really. He really has no bearing on MMA at all. None of his techniques have ever been used in MMA nor ever will.
Its bull****. 500 plus dips is inhuman. In my twenties I was in freakish shape and 400 situps was a dramatic struggle. Evander Holyfield did 600 to prepare for Tyson and was thought of as insane. Please, guys. Use your heads. Mike was a beast, but he wasnt the Terminator.
Mike didn't just do sit ups , he did sets of sit ups with a 20 kilogramm Disk... Don't know about his younger years, but he always used a weight.... God bless..
Sorry to reveal the truth but the man who originally posted this training routine in Tysontalk.com couple years ago has admitted its a fake but still some people always take it for real.
