WTF? Haters were calling for this fight instead of Mosley, now he takes it and he's cherry picking? Have they forgotten Pacquiao struggled twice with Marquez? If he didn't take this fight he would be accused of ducking Marquez and not wanting any more of his counter punching style. Unbelievable

This is the type of fight that makes you lose respect for boxing. Pacquiao is supposed to be the best fighter out there. He's the WW champion. Why is he fighting a LW? This move becomes more dubious when you consider that Marquez already went up to WW once and got the crap kicked out of him.

About a year ago, Arum said he wouldn't make this fight unless Marquez won a fight at WW first. I guess he changed his mind.

    :rofl:rofl

But I aint knocking the fight, **** I'll actually pay for this fight unlike Margo and Mosley. JMM at least has a style we believe will bother Pac... Pac will still win, but I'm far more hyped about this than the other two BS fights we got recently. I'd rather see someone with the talent to bother Pac get beat because he's too far past it or can't hurt him than someone with a big name walk in a straight line taking punches all night. I work too hard to dish out $50+ for BS fights just because a fighter is staying active.

So you believe Arum listened to everyone's bitching or it's another reason the fight is happening now?! :huh

Turn the tables and you be the judge if an older, lighter 38yr old Pacman had to go up in weight to fight a younger, faster, heavier improved JMM. *******s and paclowns would be staging a one million man midget march in protest. JMM at least will go down punching, but I wouldnt be surprised if it went the distance and JMM won or got a draw. Its embarrassing a past his prime fighter like JMM is the one fighting fighters in their prime much younger while Pacman is fighting mummies and zombies.

Arum said Showtime wanted a english speaking fighter with a name, so he was set on Mosley for the last fight. JMM being with Golden Boy also made it almost impossible. Now it's logical with Golden Boy being out of the picture if it happens, and it's now the most lucrative fight left.

Yes, if he fights JMM at 147 lbs. That would be bull****.

No I'd give him props for fighting Marquez, but it should have been sooner and at a lower weight.

it's going to be at a 144 catchweight. Marquez wanted 143, Pacquiao 145, they settled on 144.

Its amazing how boxers stock goes up and down based on a win or loss, take berto and rotiz for example, since their fight ortiz is now a top guy at welter, but is one loss away from being a nobody, berto is nothing now but one big win away from being a terrific opponent again.
boxing fans complain about cherrypicking and ducking in boxing, yet we are the ones that add so much value to wins and losses and judge fighters based on their recent performances.
Does bradley has a better shot at pac then berto has at welter? no but that is the better fight on paper, we should get rid of that mentality if we want more cotto's and froch's in the game and good fights.
Marquez vs pac 3 is the rubbermatch of a epic trilogy that eventually needed to happen, why not now, marquez deserves it and is ready, lets get it on.
