I know the man has personal problems at the moment, and maybe when he sorts them out we will see him back in the ring. I ain't trolling, and i am a fan of Floyd and Manny. But i am having doubts if we will see him in the ring again. Which would be boxing's loss. I wonder if Floyd thinks too much of his unbeaten record and is slightly less willing to put it at risk. What do you honestly think guys ? Honest question.
yeah probably, I just wished he would retire now and comeback when he wants to eventually, that way we can focus on other guys now. Floyd stealing other fighters light with his ray leonard comeback or not tricks annoy me.
NO , there just no way hes in deep with the law , he hasnt got the passion anymore i dont feel , he knows he doesnt have the physical attributes he once had ie he cant dance around the ring for 12 rounds anymore hes reflexes have gotten no better , and hes not the type of guy to fight based on that , its not that hes a coward its just hes done enough to seal a great legacy why the **** get in the ring when he knows hes not what he once was ?
Honestly, yes he will. But likely because of his legal troubles it might not be for a while yet. He really could get some prison time, its very unlikely he will get off on all the charges completely. Even if he only spent 6 months, those trials are way off still. He's wasting his prime now by not fighting, that's his choice. Likely when he does make a return he will be at least 35 years old or older and out of the ring for two years at least by that time. He will need the money, yes he's made a lot of money, but gambling, tax and legal troubles cost much more than Floyd likes to let on.
:dealYeah i get that. He is keeping people hangin' which is never a good thing. Your right he needs to be decisive about what his doing. But then the spotlight will move away from him, and he wouldn't want that.
He has to. He can't make much money with soft drinks. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZrg4AkslZE"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZrg4AkslZE[/ame] WATCH OUT FOREMAN GRILLS!
Fair points, but i don't think his past it yet. But by the time if/he fights again that could be the case.
:goodGood post mate. Like you say he is wasting his prime years now, and could live to regret that in the future.
no dont get me wrong , i dont think hes shot or anything like that but , compare mayweather as a lightweight compared to his recent fights as a welterweight ( other than jmm ) and you see a big difference in speed reflexes and foot movement , i personally dont think hes the type of man to step in a ring if he thinks hes not what he once was
this guy has a big prize on his head waiting for him with so many cases against him, hes got only 2 choices left either he go to jail and pay a big fine or fight to pay his debts
Yeah he was a definitley a better lightweight and an even better s/feather. You could be right about him not stepping in the ring if he thinks his not up to scratch. I suppose time will tell on that. Obviously the longer he leaves it the harder it will be for him, and at 33 ring rust could prove to be a real problem for him too. On the other hand Floyd likely thinks such things as age and ring rust won't bother him. If he was to come back into a tasty matchup (unlikely), he might have a rude awakening. I hate seeing top fighters let their career's slide and lose momentum. Is he still hungry ?
