Very even....Kirby was mauling and very ugly....Edwards was slow but threw better percentage shots

Just got home from the fights.
If this fight had gone gone another 2 rounds Ben Edwards would have won.
He took a while to figure out how to give himself some room from Kirbys swarming style.
I dip's my lid to both fighters great fight and a draw was the right decision.
Edwards seemed to keep learning as the fight progressed.I would like to see this kid boxing more on his feet and using movement around the ring,he didn't to it often but when he did you could see him gaining confidence as the fight progressed.Great potential with more fitness and ringcraft.I would like to see a rematch over 12 rounds.

Honestly a bit of a letdown, would have been nice just for namesakes to have a new heavyweight champion tonight. Kirby bulled forward, Edwards showed some moves, neither of them seized their chance to grab the belt. The division is still interesting enough locally, plenty of good match-ups in the top ten.

Woeful is a touch harsh mate....it was a willing tough fight fought toe to toe....Kirby is a tad frustrating with his style but it was still willing :good

Whats your ideal aussie HW top 3 fights?

For the record how can those 2 guys go 10 hard rounds and still have that much extra weight on them?

That fight must have been so zapping.....I don't understand how they can do the hard hard rounds like that and be so overweight :huh

    Tend to agree.

I was worried in the first round, I thought Ben was gonna be toast. But he already looked better in the second round, and just continued to get better throughout the fight.

Like you said, another couple rounds, and Ben would have nailed him.

I enjoyed it, and hope to see Ben continue boxing. :good
