Ed, please give the boxers a chance to thank whoever they want to thank after their fight, especially after they have engaged in a 12 round war. It was clear that Aaron wanted to thank someone after his fine performance and you cut him off. You seem to have an uncanny knack of pulling the mic away from the boxer when he is about to thank someone - I have seen you do this on numerous occasions. Not impressed.
I doubt its his fault mate, he will be getting orders/instructions from the producers in his headset to do whatever.
Of course I do, he didnt cut away and go back to the studio, he then went on and asked another question to his trainer. As I have said this has happened frequently, and you can blame Ed or the production, but the bottom line is that it is that they should allow the boxer more time.
At the end of the day, most of the time boxers will go on praising someone either their trainers, family, promoters or some other sponsor. Personally I'd rather hear genuine talk about the fight though rather than just cliched **** about "I want to thank..."
Well, that is fine - you are entitled to your opinion, but in general I am of the opinion that boxers get treated like **** in their profession, and this is just another little microcosm of that. And, no, it is not Ed's fault, but he is on the same treadmill.
You are a joke - go an ask Ed out for a date you chump. I am more concerned about seeing a boxer get a bit of respect after he has put his balls on the table, think they earn it.
A bit of feedback for Ed Robinson from me on his interviews, that is what the thread is. Ed reads this forum, so he can see it for himself. It isnt personal abuse, but feedback. But, you come on and tell me I owe Ed an apology and he would spark me. You belong to the comments section of youtube, you idiot.:good
Hey Gasman, I'm not sure what to say, I've got a strict minute and a half to find out as much as I possibly can from the boxer and his team. That's why I try and keep my questions as short and concise as I can. If a boxer starts to thank sponsors I tend to ask a boxing question, that's my job, the only other time I'll interrupt is if they mention just the first name of someone when the viewers might not know who they are talking about. Other than that I'll just let them talk. I don't claim to always get it right. Last night Arron gave a quite long answer then stopped, I have a count in my ear saying I've got twenty seconds left and I wanted to hear from Bob Shannon. Bob is a major factor in the success of Arron and I wanted to find out what he had to say, it was an amazing achievement for the whole team - what a fight! I watched the interview again when I got home and yes, you're right, he did start to say something else after I'd taken away the mike. However, it's noisy and chaotic in there and it's live TV. I'm sorry if it came across as me cutting him off. As for showing a lack of respect for boxers, that I do take some offence at.
