By Johnny Gonzalez Peter Rivera, President of Puerto Rico Best Boxing, says former champion Ivan Calderon is on track to challenge the Mexico's Raul Garcia for the WBO junior flyweight (105#) title. Rivera wants the fight to take place during the WBO's annual convention, which is scheduled for October in Puerto Rico. In April, Calderon was knocked out in the third round of his rematch with Giovanni Segura. "The idea is that Ivan and Garcia fight on the card that is done during the annual convention of the WBO," said Rivera to Carlos Gonzalez. "Against Garcia, it would be a fight that will define the future of Calderon. Win, and he can make defenses, but if he loses the he should seriously consider retirement. There is a 95% chance that it happens. Garcia's people agreed, and so has the WBO."
