Is Joshua Clottey Championship Material

i think hes gonna beat cintron

 

He may be the best non-champion at welterweight. Then again, let's see him face Judah or a rematch with Margarito.

 

If Kermit Cintron is a titlist, Joshua Clottey could also be a titist.

 

I think he can be a belt holder.

 

Joshua Clottey certainly has some talent. I've only seen a bit of a few fights of his, as well as his fight against Guitierrez. He throws excellent combinations and does great on the inside.

I dunno if he'll beat cintron, although I do think he could potentially be favored in that one.

clottey only lost to margarito cause he hurt his hand and had to fight with one. up to that point he was dominating the fight. clottey beats cintron and margarito in a rematch. but the other welter titlists beat clottey.

 

Clottey is definetly Championship Material.. And he will beat Cintron if they ever fight.. Cintron won't be able to handle the constant pressure. Clottey isnt the best pressure fighter but he applys steady pressure and Cintron can't take pressure. Plus if Cintron can't hurt Clottey which i dont think he can then he'll fall apart very quickly

 

Clottey is a top fighter in his division, but championship material? I don't think so. Yeah he can snag one of the ABC belts, but he isn't #1 in the division. He won't beat Cotto or Williams, Berto might beat him as well. Clottey is a good fighter and beats Cintron and some of the other contenders, but way too inconsistent.

 

I think he'll be at least up there with the big names. He might not be able to beat the best but he'll give them a good fight. I watched him vs Corrales yesterday and he made Chico look foolish.
