Both great amateur pedigree, both young, and similar personas. Neither guy is great to watch, but very good boxers who know a lot of tricks. Unfortunately for them, another thing they have in common is lack of fanbase.
I don't find Bradley boring to watch at all. Guy is exciting just not a very powerful puncher. I also wouldn't say Ward is boring, I sometimes enjoy watching him work....
Yea i pretty much agree with not being too exciting. We will have to see how both of them turn out. Bradley IMO would be great to watch when matched up with the right fighter.
I don't think either fighter is boring. I love Bradley's heart and determination. I love the way Andre Ward puts on boxing clinics.
That's a good comparison. Too bad they both also share a lack of top notch power and because of that, are just as known for their Holyfield-like ability to mask headbutts because their punching power is barely effective enough at the highest level. As it stands they're both excellent all around guys, but the lack of real special attributes (speed, defense, power, countering, etc.) makes it tough for them to get more recognition. Very good jack-of-all trades kind of fighters, though, and I like the intangibles they bring to the table. They fight smart.
I love me some Road Warrior, but, Froch will win that fight. I'll tell you what; Froch will have more trouble with Johnson, than he will with Ward.
Ward is a better all round IMO. Bradley maybe has a few more moves though. I was quite impressed with his fight with Witter, where he was essentially faking counters to set up counters. Thats some pretty high level stuff. I've never seen anything like that from Andre Ward.
Bradley is more entertaining, but Ward may have greater potential. Both of them would be HOF if they had power.
