    A couple of questions...

Why was he put in with the likes of Anthony Small and John Duddy so early in his career? Seems a bit odd that a prospect would be Jobbed out so early

Only 4 of 20 wins by KO, but he's stopped his last 3, and really hurt Webb a number of times...has there been a noticeable improvement in his power, or is he doing things differently now than he used to?

He's growing in his body as hes getting older so I guess that could be where the powers coming from. Not a clue why he was matched so poorly at a young age though.

Just the result of having a poor promoter who was only interested in making money I guess. I suppose they would have been confident that he at least had a chance, given the problems he could cause people with his height and reach.

I'm guessing he's just starting to develop his power. Some times tall and rangey fighters don't mature till later. For instance Tommy Hearns had only 1 amateur knockout and wasn't a puncher at all until he turned pro and look at Nathan Cleverly, he had only a couple of k.o's early on, now he stops most.

Arron was in a real bad situation when he turned over, not naming names but the guy who managed/trained him was an arsehole who jus wanted to make money, he had great potential from the start and its finally coming out now that bob shannon is getting the best out of him. Really deserves it, i think many fighters would of knocked it on the head if their career started like his.

hes a credit to Manchester and to the sport.Loved the way he had confidence last night in his power, last 4 rounds he showed maturity, some would have paniced, thinking they were behind, in opponents home town.....he didnt, fair play he did get caught flush towars end, but still picked his punches well.
    im well chuffed.

A bit off topic in relation to Aaron maturing as a fighter. He seems to have filled out quite a bit over the last few years. The first time i saw him was against John Duddy three and a half years ago, and it looked like a boy against a man. Hes added muscle now, and looks strong at the weight, in spite of his height.

Look how skinny he was against Duddy.

And look at him in his weigh in against Webb. Quite a difference imo

i dont know but he was ****in fed to the lions against duddy. fair play to him with keeping it up and hes getting what he deserves now. A loss or two early on in career can be a good thing.

Rose is an OK fighter but not all that...I love his official website which describes his record as 17 fights 15 wins (4 KO) and 1 draw ???? Maxwell must have puddled his brain because by any measure that just doesn't add up.

Just shows what a great springboard prizefighter can be for a young boxer. It made A boy a man. Arrons belief in his power and his chin is growing with every fight. He was still a little gunshy under pressure on friday night, and dont think he fully realised, or believed, the damage he was putting on Webb. Probablly phycological damge from that early defeat to Duddy. Winning this title will go a long way to wipin out that damage. He can only get better. Webb by the way was brilliant imo. He just could'nt handle the right hand. His head movment early on was causing Arron problems, he just stood off a little too much. Should've used that movement to close the distance and work Arrons body more and imo could of maybe broke Arrons heart. Hope he can come back from this. Enjoy watchin Webb, he's a real throwback. Reminds me of Kaylor for some reason.
