hes ok! he teaches good basics! but he cant bring the figter to the next level! Thats why i think helenius wont beat klitschko if they ever fight! I doubt helenius beats chambers also!
Wegner is a good choice for limited fighters, because he ensures them a proper education ([high] guard + jab + right hand) and pushes guys like Abraham, Murat or Huck far beyond their limits. more dedicated boxers like Hernandez struggle under Wegner's guidance. even boxing masterminds like Mayweather or Toney would have to take a subordinate role to Wegner's medieval conception of boxing. he's simply as limited as his fighters.
he trains his fighters like there amatures did u see the stuff he was doing on fight camp all the europeans are trained in an amature style high guard block then punch back or wait till their opponent tyres there are a few exceptions
His coach is as good as Kelly Pavliks ! And thats not saying much Abrham was made to look 1 dimensional in his last fights !
I really wonder if Helenius will do well under him long term. Helenius is more skilled than guys like Abraham or Huck and therefore needs more complex tutelage.
I'd say Fritz Sdunek is considerably better...then again that just might be because he's worked with better fighters.
I think both the fighter and the trainer are limited. It's in the Froch fight that I realised how limited AA is. From that fight, I knew that AA couldn't become better and unless he makes DRAMATIC changes. It means getting a new trainer, a new conditionner, etc. He has to restarts learning everything from the most basic thing on boxing. Unless he makes thoses changes, he will always be the same AA. If he's not willing to do those changes, my only advice to him would be to retire. It's as simple as that.
