I work with someone who's realtive is a member of the Haye camp. I was talking to him about the build up, & how funny Wlad has been during the Ringside episode with the whole "shake my hand" thing. I thought Haye was being a bit of ***** and told him so. Apparantly the Haye camp actually like Wladimir, they think he is a top bloke, very funny. The reason Haye didnt want to be around him is becuase he doesnt want to get to comfotable in his presence. The more time Haye spends with him, the more he gets to like him so that is why he is isolating himself from Wlad. Word from inside the Haye camp is that Wlad is one funny mother ****er!!
How can you not warm to Wlad after his performances in the build up.... He might be a pain in the arse to negoitate with but away from that, he seems a top bloke. You could see Haye visably trying not to laugh during their Ringside exchange. I guess Haye needs the fire & hatred in his belly to help him train harder than ever. Intresting though
I wouldnt ever describe it as genuine hate anyway. It is more the attitude of Wlad is the person in the way of Haye achieving his goals. I would say he is neutral to both the brothers but is aware he needs to sell the fight and ultimately they stand in the way of him holding the heavyweight title.
I think you could tell this from ringside- David looked like he really wanted to smile and laugh at times. All part of the build up though!
When he's relaxed and happy of course he likes waldo. But when he has his fighting head on he hates him and haye likes to fight. As a fighter, as a boxer he can't stand wlad and his dull anti-fighting when they were both doing borat impressions that was weird, too friednly and I hated it
David: "Audley mate, I'm looking for an opponent, do you fancy a 10-rounder? There'll be a million quid in it for you." Audley: "Ooh, I hate you David Haye".
