Why do "boxing fans" discredit the sport and the fighters so often?

More good points. I give Sergio alot of credit for the run he's been on, but I also always gave Pavlik credit and hope he can get himself ready for another good run himself. What I always found hilarious is how Kelly was routinely called the great white hope...even after winning the lineal middleweight championship via knockout in a division where the other beltholders were white guys. That **** kills me.

 

I think people get a little animated in their debates on here but I think its because a lot of these fighters are letting their promotors call the shots. They hype this whole undefeated BS but it doesn't mean anything, its just careful matchmaking.

Pointing out a fighter's losses doesn't mean ****, its all about where are they now. I mean look at Pac,Martinez, Donaire, Marquez.

I don't crucify anybody for losing, but the hate on here for certain fighters is ridiculous, like Andre Dirrell,Froch,Haye. I can understand the hate on floyd and pac though as they are the most popular but the guys trying to win a title or have one poor performance and they get **** on.

 

These 'boxing fans' have been watching too many pitbull dogfights they now find that boxing is too 'tame' for them. They would perhaps enjoy it more if there were more blood/guts/gore or even a bitten-off ear in the ring.
