I believe Degale is already the best at 168.

You are right mate, Degale is pure class and will dismantle Groves for fun.

I said it all already mate.

Froch was clearly outboxed very easily by Dirrell and wouldn't handle the in and out tactics by Degale. He would find it very difficult to touch Degale and would lose a decision probably but could get stopped late.

    Johnson would be outboxed clearly.

Bute crumbled under pressure and needs time to set himself. Degale would put educated pressure on and get the job done. Bute has fought nobody.

Kessler lost every round to Ward and lost clearly to Calzaghe. Degale is a better technical boxer and would outbox him also. Kessler would find it difficult to land his jab and would walk into counters.

Dirrell would be the most difficult fight due to his running tactics and keeping the fight at range but I think Degale would make him miss enough and take the fight inside where Dirrell has no game.

The fight with Ward would be a messy inside affair that I think Degale would get the best of.

He hasnt steped up in class yet, you dont know how he will fight at Euro level let alone world stakes.... Groves has had the tougher opposition than degale in there fights so we will see how prepared degale is..
Dirrel is one of the best boxers in the supermiddleweight has everything but a heart, Froch got the nod because he was the one trying to make the fight even thoe it was Dirrels for the taking, Froch got his hand held up and rightly so....
I can assure you that Degale would get beat at this stage of his carrer if he fought the big guns of the division, you dont even know if the man has a chin yet, he needs quite a few more fights till he can mix it with the elite.

The talent he possesses is off the page. Superb defensive ability, switching stances, countering so well. The handspeed, footspeed and ability to throw from all angles is what makes him great. The opponent doesn't know if the punches are going to come from an orthodox or southpaw stance plus he is fundamentally sound and if he wants, he can fight on the outside and potshot all night. he really is extremely talented to the highest degree imo. If his chin holds up, as I think it will, he really will be a star. I have rarely seen talent on his level

:patsch This guy needs to stay off the Jenkem :yep maybe Johnson and possibly abraham(who just dont cut it at 168 ) but the others would have too much for him at the moment imo, maybe this thread is perhaps a couple of years too early me thinks :huh

I think in the future he could possibly be up there with anyone as one of the best fighters in the division, he has quite a lot of levels to him that reminds me of Ward tbh, if he has that at the elite level we dont know yet.
