Are Klitschko fans actually worried about Haye?

Clinching is a valid tactic, but you need a ref who is right on top of it too.

It should be used when you have been rocked and you tie your opponent up, or in similar circumstances. It shouldn't be used as the only way to cope with infighting.

What is needed is consistent refereeing. If a fighter can only deal with infighting by clinching, then they have to put up with the risk (or certainty) of losing points for it. That's the penalty for not having a complete skillset.

To be honest, haven't seen Wlad clinch much lately. Partly that is due to his skills, he can keep oponents on the outside pretty well. Partly that may just be his opponents lacking the skill to get inside. Although guys like Chambers, Chagaev etc are actually pretty skillful.

Perhaps Haye will be the one to test it out. I doubt it though. I see Haye trying to work from the outside himself, lunging in, but not staying in.

Why should an extremely LONG fighter let the fight get inside. That's why small fighters try to fight inside.

Your long, stick the jab, and keep your opponent at the end of your punches.
Your short, slip the jab and force the taller guy to fight inside your range.

When the taller longer Klitschko is pressed inside, his length voids his inside reach as his punches are more difficult to extend tightly.

When the shorter fighter tries to stay outside he is peppered with the jab.

Tying the smaller guy up while inside is an honest technique to keep it clean and at a distance. If it becomes Ruizesque, it makes for some looooonnnnggg fights, but unless the fighter is just grabbing at the guy everytime he's within reach, it isn't cheating. You don't let your guy lay on you or bully his way in.

If Peter or whoever Wlad has excessively held were to be punching on the way in, Wlad could deploy the clinch, and we wouldn't be having this excuse.

These guys are lunging in, then they can grab Wlad and rabbit punch, or close their eyes, flail, and pray for a connection.

Why should Wlad allow sloppy fighters a punchers chance, or let himself get dropped by a series of rabbit punches ala Peter?

If Haye can't slip a jab, then counter on his way in, Wlad should rightly tie him up. It should be up to opponent to fight his way inside, and if he does that, Wlad can't just tie him up, he'll have to defend. When Wlad tries to tie up, push off and fire.
No these guys just try to get as close to Wald and flail, and that deserves a tie up.

I aint worried about Haye until Wlad let's him off the hook. Then I might worry depending how the fight is going. Wlad said he is going to stretch this fight, and if he does and Haye is still in it after 6-7, I could get worried.

Vlad will knock Haye out!!!!!!! Vitali wanted to knock Haye out, but decided to let Vlad knock him out instead!!!!!!! There is always some danger in a fight, but Vlad is so superior that Haye has very little chance.

    Hey, its Rushman!

    I wondered where you were.
Im standing in your living room.
Ive been forcing my **** down your partner's throat now for a good hour. She keeps gagging and passing out so I have to give her little razor cuts and rub coke in the wounds just to keep her going.

I think she's beginning to like it though!

Originally when Haye moved to HW I was a little nervous - similar to being nervous about Vitali's comeback and his injury - prone body. But the closer we get to the fight, the more I am actually afraid that it might be a one - sided win for Wlad. I would love to see him really challenged and come through, but Haye strikes my less and less as the guy to challenge Wlad. He is too much of a diva, thinks that his athleticism will do the trick when Wlad is a superior athlete IMO, better coordination, precision in his movement, consisteny throughout a fight. Haye could have a chance if he had fought a lot to develop his potential, be in fights where just speed and power wouldn't be enough but he has few fights for his age.

This is HW boxing, you always have to be worried. A single punch can end fights. Haye has a chance even though Wlad is the big favorite in my book.

I get nervous before any Klitschko fight. The better the opponent the more chance of them losing, the worse the opponent the worse it would be if they did lose. I'm very confident Wlad will put Haye away, but I won't relax for a moment from the opening bell. Some of Haye's obvious weaknesses have been exposed but I still feel he's an unknown quantity in the division

Quite impressed by the honesty. Thought it would all be "Wlad will shatter that china chin in 3 rounds blah blah blah..."
