Ringside is back nearly a year now and it is a shadow of its former self. I think Sky should bin it. It does **** all to help the fighters who dont get any air time on the Sky shows. In a ideal world ringside would be for the fights that were not aired on Sky on the Saturday night. It would then help those fighters build up a following all over the UK and Ireland. Look at the Olympians who turned pro with Warren most of there fights were on Sky or SBO so people know about those lads right from the start of there pro game. Now there are some fighters out there who are building up a great local fan base and are doing the business in the ring but dont get the air time. There only chance is if they are in a Prizefighter or a British title shot to get shown by Sky. I think they need to change there ways even if they dont want to bin ringside even put some of the undercard fights on there website that were not shown. Sadly I cant see Sky doing it which is a shame they will stick with there format but there product could well be so much better.

Why would you bin it ?

Why not choose not to watch it if it's so bad, or does everything have to be binned cause it don't match your expectations.

Yes a Boxing show that doesn't exist, is better than one that does exist..........emmmm yeh sure.

Don't bang on about Buncey, thet guy doesn't give a **** if the fighter aint British.

It could be improved a lot but considering theres nothing else out there then ill take it. It is what it is, a hype program for sky and at the end of the day if it brings viewers in who arent particularly into boxing then it does its job for them.

You should have learnt long ago that money comes first, not fans

    The Adam Smith Show.

I'd rather they spent the money on live fights, not on sending themselves over to America to interview De La Hoya and Hopkins.

No it shouldn't be replaced, simply because this is the best we can hope for from Sky Sports. I don't see how it can improve. They'd never dare go for a Bunce/Setanta type boxing show.

It shouldn't be scrapped altogether, overall I think they do a decent job of balancing the mainstream stars that attract viewers and the lesser known up and coming talents. I agree about the specials they did, they were quite interesting but there are better interviews with Hopkins and DLH around and the one where they blew smoke up Haye's arse for an hour was quite dull.

Its like anything, like series's that you watch, you cant expect it to be good EVERY week, personally, I really like Ringside, and am glad its back on.

They should probably give Bunce 10 mins of the show just to pep it up a bit. You can say Bunce is too full on, too much of a fan than a broadcaster, but I'd argue whats the difference between him and cheerleaders like Nelson/Smith?

i dont mind ringside, although i'd prefer it if they kept the specials as separate shows and dedicate the Thursday show to being a preview of upcoming fights and round the world review/news with special guests.

Any boxing on TV is good. And Sky are upping their game from the last few years no doubt about it.

All other channels (bar PPV ones) have pissed off and Sky have done their best to pick up the slack.

As much as I find the Haye and De La Hoya exclusive shows pointless and irritating, Smith, Nelson and Co. are lovers of the sport just like we are and no doubts in my mind they will always try and put the sport first when they have the choice to do so.

I say it stays, it will only get better with time I'd imagine.
