    Mayweather v Hatton 1m buys
    Pacman v Hatton 450,000 buys

Thats some difference that, any ideas why?
Can't just be because of the undefeated angle for the Mayweather fight.

It's easier to dislike a loudmouthed American knobhead who thinks he's the best ever against a highly confident unbeaten Brit..... than it is a respectful Filipino who likes doing impressions of William Wallace.

Hatton obviously lost a lot of his lustre and drawing power after losing.... but I'd have thought it would have done better than 450k.

Floyd really knows how to sell a fight, and a lot of people were convinced that Hatton was going to win it. After the Floyd fight against Manny, who doesn't speak English, it was hard to drum up the same sort of support for Ricky, I think.

Interesting to note that Tyson has been the only foreign Sky PPV fighter.

It'll also be interesting to note who were the youngest boxers to become PPV fighters..... Khan at 22 is surely the youngest.... Then maybe Naz?

It'll be nice if there was a way of getting figures for PPV buys too.

    Updated list:

*What is fight is missing from this list now?

    - Can someone add:

    1. The number of buys (from what we know - i.e. see what is posted in the thread)

    2. Also, the chief support for each PPV.

    3. Country/City beside each PPV. *There are a lot of US locations on this list, I am sure there was a UK leg to many of these PPVs.

Tyson was a long established name worldwide so I guess it made sense..especially when he came over to the UK for 2 fights.

DLHs fights were well covered by sky but never on PPV...he was a huge cash cow in america but no casual british fans knew him.

I think its a huge mistake getting greedy and putting these fighters on ppv too early...its purely for short term gain rather than building their name and only putting them on ppv in worthy world level fights.

Lewis v rahman 1 wasn't on sky, Lewis gave it to the bbc.

Hatton v pacman did a good number probably lower than sky expected but still good.

The mayweather number was crazy. For a fight after 4am to do more than 1 million is insane. They really built that fight up well. The underfeated angle, the flash arrogant American against the working class brit. I remember people being excited about hamed v barerra and Lewis v tyson but everyone wanted to see hatton v mayweather. So many casuals wanted to see mayweather get knocked out. I remember after the first 24/7 going to work and people just talking about mayweather and what a ***** he was. One of the few fights which caught the imagination of the nation.

Pubs and bars must of made a killing that night!

    Nice one.

The Tyson - Norris fight was on the day after Hamed - Soto - I wonder was this definitely on, maybe it was a double-header PPV?

It's a real shame sky are not made to release the numbers like hbo are.

I would love to know the figures and really like to know what hamed'a fights drew. Naz was a star and wanna know what his numbers were like.

Did people moan about ppv back then. me and my friends all used to chip in and make a night of it for the fights in America. I don't remember people moaning we were just excited to see the fights. Even the hamed fights in the UK as people just loved to watch naz.

Was it a double header with the hamed-soto fight?
