Yes, I know it's a bit early but it's a fight I've wanted to see for over three years :happy

As a potential first time visitor to Las Vegas any information from people who've been before would be appreciated.

I've found flights and six nights in the MGM for £1500, or £900 at Circus Circus.... three nights either side of the fight.

Is anywhere must see, must'nt see ?

    :good

Circus Circus is as cheap as chips, but too far away from the main areas of the strip. A cheaper alternative in a great location is Treasure Island or Monte Carlo (this was cheap the last time I was in Vegas).

Accommodation in Vegas is pretty cheap, especially with the standard of hotels that you get. I would book flights and hotels separately.

I've only looked on the Casino websites.... if I dig a bit deeper and price everything up separately I'm sure something could be knocked off that.

That's based on me going solo.... obviously if you've got a roomie there'll be a fair bit to come off that.

Might get in touch with Doyley, he used to be a travel agent, not sure whether he still is :think

If you're a Vegas first timer I'd advise staying at the MGM. Not been myself but a girl I know went back in March and stayed at the MGM and it sounded immense. Well worth the money

The thing I'm wondering... is the hotel important? How much time will you spend there, apart from at night?

Here is a good pic to give you an idea of the hotel layout on the Vegas strip.

The absolute big baller hotels like Bellagio, Caesers, Wynn, Venitian are pretty spectacular but you won't find a meal for less that $40 and a beer at the pool will be $10 minimum.

If you going to see a fight MGM is probably well worth it as you will be close for all the stuff that goes on on 2-3 days before the fight like weigh in, entrances etc.

Mid range hotels which are also decent would be Mirage, New York New York, Mandadlay Bay or Treasure Island. If you want a cheap hotel try Luxor, Ballys or Harrahs.

On the map I have posted you wanna be in-between Mandalay Bay and The Wynn. Anyone that comes on here tells you "I stayed at stratosphere and it was fine you just get the monorail" is talking complete **** because they haven't experiences staying in the centre of vegas as well. its 1000 times better.

my major advice for vegas is don't try and do it on a budget. Its a once in a life time chance so don't **** it up by taking a 22 hour non direct flight, only going for 3 days, staying at Excalibur and having a budget of $75 a day. Save up and enjoy.

you will be in a club, you have pulled the fittest bird your every gonna get with in your entire life and she asks you where you are staying.

    "Excalibur...the medi evil themed hotel"

She will laugh in your face and your **** will remain flaccid the entire trip and the £100 more you should of spent stay at the MGM wont seem like allot.
