I actually thought Floyd looked bigger than Shane during the fight.

Your post is nothing but faulty perception. Go look at any of the weigh in threads to this fight. You'll see numerous people remarking how Shane looked significantly bigger than Mayweather. So how did Mayweather get supposedly get bigger than Mosley in 1 day? Furhtermore, Shane came in at 160 lbs. in his pervious fight against Margo. Shane also remarked how it was a bit of a struggle to make the weight against Mayweather(Mayweather had no trouble making weight). So more than likely, Shane came in around 160 lbs. against Mayweather. So for Mayweather to have truly been bigger than Mosley on fight night, he would've had to have been over 160 lbs. Now I think we can all agree that probably wasn't the case.

Me too. My friend first pointed that out to me while we were watching the fight the on the same month of it's debut and I still believe that Mayweather was bigger to this day. Shane isn't a small dude either so it was weird seeing Mayweather look bigger than him.

It doesn't matter! Pac will beat JMM convincingly come Nov 12!

Pacquio Haters will say PAC is/was ducking JMM after the fight PAC will not get credit coz they will say JMM is over the hill:hey

Give Timothy Bradley a year or two he will be ready to face PAC! It will be a sad day for the Philippines once those two greats meet in the ring!

Its fairly simple. Pac has become used to this weight and it's practically all muscle. The reason why he is so strong is that he is simply not cutting weight and eats to his heart's content, unlike Margarito that had to come in looking like a squished fruit and re hydrated something like 16 pounds in one night. The whole re hydration/cutting seriously weakens the fighters that have to cut muscle, but does considerably less damage to guys who have to cut fat (Marquez, Hatton). A fight at 135 would weaken Pac considerably, but would do a lot less damage to Marquez as he just would have lost fat and water anyhow. Water levels can be easily replenished in one night. Muscle, not even close.

Exactly. People say "Well Pacquiao weighs in at 148 pounds on fight night at ww or jmw." But what people don't understand is at ww or jmw, Pacquiao will have better energy, more power and he'll have more muscles. At 130 pounds Pacquiao was focusing more on losing weight and didn't eat correctly. I wish most people here can actually think for once.

^^^Good example of that picture. Pacquiao at 130 pounds look dehydrating. It look like he didn't eat for months. Now at ww, Pacquiao at the weigh in look much healther with more muscles that brings more power to his punches. And he's use to this ww weight.

Because Pac has been fighting at Welterweight and Marquez has been fighting at Lightweight......doesn't take a genius

Pac's team are always saying Pac's a natural 140 JWW at this point and that he's brave for fighting bigger guys. If that's the case why can't they fight Marquez at 140 or meet at a catchweight between 135 and 140? Why make Marquez come up to a weight he won't be effective at? *******s cannot have thier cake and eat it to, either he's a natural JWW screwing Marquez over by making him come up 2 divisions when Pac could easily make 140 or lower or you'll just have to admit Manny is now a full fledged welterweight and not some super human beating guys that are way bigger. It's one or the other, he's a full fledged welter or he's doing eveything possible to screw Marquez out of a legit chance against him despite having every conceivable advantage. Pick one *******s :hi:

I think Pac's fight night weight is closer to 150, if not 150 these days. So I think we could be talking about 5lb gap come fight night. Remember Ariza talking about how Pac was 152 or 153 during training in the last 2 or so weeks. People were like... wtf Pac's 150+ these days? I thought he had to eat himself to 147!

Shaun...it's because people are afraid if Pacquiao fights someone his own size, it's going to be unfair. :conf Because people are ****ing stupid.

His listed fight night weight for Margarito was 3.5 pounds heavier than Marquez's for Katsidis.

the double standard of *******s is hilarious. it was a crime for a rusty Floyd coming off a 2 year layoff to make Marquez come up yet it's all good for an active Pac 2 years later vs a more faded version of Marquez
