you're the one who's pathetic I remember you saying before the Margarito fight that Pac had bit off more than he could chew and that you expected him to pull out of the fight with a phony injury. Two ass whoopings later you are still hating

I was also expecting Manny to take some test as well but in Dallas I guess he has some people out there on the payroll...

He added muscle to get up to 144lbs. This time around, he doesn't need to do that because he's against a guy who is the same weight as he is whereas Mayweather was a lot heavier. For his last fight against Katsidis, Marquez weighed 145lbs on fight night yet looked sharp because that's his natural weight and he was that weight without adding muscle. Against Pacquiao, he won't be adding the muscle he did last time.

I think it was less a case of him being unable to fight at the weight and more down to bad conditioning. He added muscle and, honestly, he was poorly conditioned. If he does that again he will be "poorly conditioned" again. He needs to stay at his natural weight, train like he did for Katsidis and he'll be ready.

The difference between a 144lb Marquez against Floyd and a 145lb Katsidis was huge. He needs to make sure he is properly conditioned and he won't be bloated then.

In the end, I don't think Marquez will be lifting rocks in the mountains to train for the Pac fight like he did for the Mayweather fight.

Based on the comments from Nacho, they know that Pac is smaller than Mayweather so they won't try to compensate for the size difference by trying to bulk up Marquez. As mentioned by others, the most likely scenario is that he'll train the same way he does for his LW fights, but won't have to worry about making the 135 limit and come in at around 144 like he usually does.

Sure, it's still possible that they will try to bulk up like they did against Mayweather but it seems unlikely. I mean, Marquez made a big deal about how big he felt Mayweather was in the ring when they fought, claiming he thought that Mayweather was probably at around 160 (probably an exaggeration but that's what he claimed) so I think they really felt that Mayweather was the much bigger fighter and IMO they don't feel that way with Pac.

147 pound LIMIT! You don't have to weight 147. Marquez being 2 pounds lighter would make no difference and pac would just be a tad faster. So who benefits from a 140 pound limit?

I'm no expert on weight training but isn't the muscle you gain pretty much going to be there forever?

Not really you can slim down, But its hard to especially when your in your mid 30's it can also have an effect on your body, as was the case with Jones when he moved down from Heavyweight.

Pac's team are always saying Pac's a natural 140 JWW at this point and that he's brave for fighting bigger guys. If that's the case why can't they fight Marquez at 140or meet at a catchweight between 135 and 140? Why make Marquez come up to a weight he won't be effective at? *******s cannot have thier cake and eat it to, either he's a natural JWW screwing Marquez over by making him come up 2 divisions when Pac could easily make 140 or lower or you'll just have to admit Manny is now a full fledged welterweight and not some super human beating guys that are way bigger. It's one or the other, he's a full fledged welter or he's doing everything possible to screw Marquez out of a legit chance against him despite having every conceivable advantage. Pick one

Nah, look at RJJ at Heavy, he managed to get rid of quite a bit of that muscle to get back down in weight. Only way to get rid of muscle is to not use it.

Only *******s say JMM was bloated. Floyd simply made him look slow. JMM will do much better vs Pac. Now that Pacquiao has gained so much power somehow, I don't know if JMM can handle his punches though.

no it was not competitive. mayweather was clearly too big and strong for jmm. yes, marquez landed a few good right hands, but what did mayweather do? he smiled and did not back up.
if you have seen his other fights, he would back up, reassess and readjust whenever he was tagged. he was just using jmm as a practice run after a layoff. i mean, he did the friekin rope-a-dope against jmm!
