I think Pac would win a UD but I imagine in the early rounds Victor would dominate Pac with his footwork and reach. However as the fight progresses Pac would pick up the pace and try to finish Vic. However, Vic has the skill, speed, and power to hurt Pac with counter punches. I could also see Vic winning by KO though this is a remote possiblity.
Interesting common wisdom says a jabber and counter puncher beats Manny Ortiz is neither but he is gonna come at Pac something not normally done and he is a southpaw something Manny hasnt fought in years Ortiz is also younger something Manny never faces Ortiz is very easy to hit and the two times Berto actually landed good Ortiz was down if Ortiz can take Mannys punch he may be able to back Manny up like Pavlik did vs Miranda Manny is not good on the inside and Ortiz will be in his chest I see a Manny KO Ortiz is predictable and easy to hit and doesnt recover well
I think it would be a good fight, the Ortiz that beat Berto would put up a MUCH better fight that Shane, Margarito and Clottey. Even if Ortiz got knocked out he would give a great effort and tag Pac quite a lot. I think Pac would put him in a shell eventually and TKO him though.
Ortiz don't get enough respect, give him his props, he fought fire with fire againsed Berto and did himself proud. He would give Pac a good fight.
pac... dominated? don't think that's possible. the only way ortiz wins this fight is by landing one big, lucky shot and knocking pac out, but i don't think there's any way that happens. ortiz does not have remotely enough experience to deal with what manny brings to the table. i'm a huge ortiz fan, have been since before the whole maidana thing. i think he beats a lot of other fighters out there right now, but definitely, definitely not manny pacquiao.
Yup, Pacquiao dominates aggressive fighters like Ortiz. And as I have told, back in Pac's feather weight days, Ortiz was in awe of Pac's power(and in an interview told that if Pac was too strong for him back then, how much today when Pac is stronger), they did spar before. But I won't mind seeing this fight.
I think the fight would look a lot like Pac/Cotto. The speed and angles would be too much for Ortiz, though he would be competitive as a result of his size and solid skills.
It depends. If Pac is still performing near peak/prime and has not lost a step then it should be an easy fight. Ortiz is very hittable. Very. But if Pac is slow and Ortiz starts landing and has the fight in him like he had vs Berto, then I can see an upset. He is big, strong and fast enough to give Pac trouble. Plus I have yet to see how Pac will handle a fast young southpaw.
Pacquiao would annihilate him. Ortiz would have a punchers chance though, guy can crack, well at least at 140....he did well in his welterweight debut but Berto has been suspected of being chinny.
Well for being a so called Pac hater here is what I say..... Ortiz quits on the stool or gets KO'd within 5 rounds Against Berto Manny KO's him even quicker
