True. He still ran and gets no flack for it. He clearly showed more heart than Shane did against Pacquiao but during the second half all he wanted to do is survive.

Also, an inactive Shane or not Floyd fought Shane that was coming of a WIN. One of his best wins TBH.

    Obviously. Of course.

Shameful Shane Clottey has lost the right to call himself a warrior. He's a thief who ran off and stole a paycheck and cheated the fans.

    Disgrace.

he lost the right to say he's fighting to win, should he decide to fight again. last three fights shows he's no longer the young feisty guy willing to give it his all in there, but someone rather content with finishing the fight and living to see another day.

I see your point, Cotto did do the same thing but it was much later in the fight, he knew he was going to lose, he had nothing left and was busted up. Shane did it from the 3rd round yet he could have taken some chances, he was not as badly hurt.

Point taken though, Cotto DID give in later in the fight. I suppose he just put up a far better fight and the result of that means he gets less of a bashing from boxing fans.

Margarito was his last great fight.

Dude should learn from others when to quit, stop tarnishing his legacy.
    He has enough money.

If anything, Floyd made Shane his ***** more than Manny did. Shane landed some really good shots in the second and Floyd just made Shane look like an idiot. Shane was getting beat by Manny, but not the same way he was by Floyd.

Watch the fight again. Cotto started to backpedal in the 10th, and it was not the tour de france that Mosley put on. He wasn't disengaging, just dude had to in order to survive. Notice, no one after that fight calls Cotto a runner.
It's sad how Mosley's rep changed so quickly. I mean dude was seen as a proud warrior, and still is to some degree.
However, the continuous glove touching every 30 seconds, as if to remind pac of good will, and comradery, and then directly after the fight hoisting up that fabricated story on his twiiter account.

    Just ugly.

Shane stood in front of Pacquiao many times which get overlooked. Go to 6:00 for the 5th, that doesn't look like running to me he's directly in front of him. He did move away from the ropes but he gets right back in punching range for Manny and this is a few rounds after the kd. He did run at times but notice that he starts the rounds off in front of Pacquiao and most of the times he jumps back in punching distance.

Mosley didn't really start to run until later in the fight too. He definitely ran in much parts of the 10-12 rounds. Look at Pacquiao-Mosley again. Mosley stood in front of him for the most part.

I think people just overlook the bad things that happened in the ring with their fighters. Tyson quit and was faded yet people don't give him flack for that or Morales or Chavez. Even Barrera fought pretty negative in the Pacquiao rematch but I rarely hear people bring that up. Like them, Mosley proved that he was a warrior in most of his fights. It's clear as day he was looking for a paycheck against Pacquaio which I don't hold against him because of that leech Jin.
