I really don't see it happening. Convince me otherwise.

That's about it. And I don't see DeGale doing anything stupid.

He's been sparring the Dirrell brothers?

They've been going easy on him, but that's all I got.

Said another way boxers will get punched in the face and Groves is more than capable of doing this with power!

DeGale is sort of a one trick pony. Hiding behind that long southpaw jab and then trying to explode with the left and the hook behind it or with combinations of power shots up and down if you get too close. When he switches to orthodox he is a non-threat. A well trained fighter can easily beat him. I see a poor man's version of Junior Witter. I think someone who attacks his jab from the weak side will cause him a lot of trouble. Can Groves do it? I think so. He seems to be aware of where his feet are relative to his opponent but it's just the speed and power might be lacking. (especially the speed)

I'm picking Groves for the upset.

and the long face of DeGale ?

I hope Groves wins, but I feel up to now, DeGale looks far better. The two levels come together tonight, I see a cagey fight with DeGale on top.

    There isn't one.

Until he starts fighting in his natural style, boxing behind a solid jab and letting his hands go he's going nowhere.

This ''Haye'' style of flashy movement and throwing bombs is no good for him. Watch his fight against Kenny Anderson, moving around the ring way too much and being walked down.... on his ass in the 3rd round and nearly sparked at the end of it, saved by the bell.

Kenny took the fight on short notice, with six weeks training he'd have been fresh enough to get Groves out of there.

Watch DeGale against Paul Smith, he'll dominate Groves and take him out in the middle rounds. Take that to the bank.

Groves will win. He is much stronger than DeGeale. More Power, more Heart.

Up until recently id of favoured Groves but all of a sudden DeGale is looking decent, hes actually punching instead of slapping and everything hes good at is getting better.

But ive not seen him take any big shots yet and seeing as Groves can throw them and is FAR better than anybody Degales faced so far i certainly wouldnt write him off.

But id have to say this should be Degales fight aslong as he can take a punch.

Degale is such an ass that he will start toying with Groves and end up like Campbell.
That would be so so so sweet.

A convincing case. Not sure about a convincing case, but if the bad blood between the two is to be believed (I certainly believe it)...we could see both fighting with anger and pride tonight, this in my opinion could possibly favour Groves. We havn't seen DeGale in a back and forth bout yet, we havn't seen his chin properly tested, or his ability to come back from a knockdown or from behind. If DeGale throws the gameplan out of the window and wants to stand toe-to-toe with Groves for 12 rounds, this IMO would be Groves' best shot.

Groves is far from the biggest puncher, but DeGale is still very much hittable.
