It's because clueless nobheads like yourself go about spouting **** as fact that so many people have misunderstandings about how the boxing industry works.

Whether it is a British title fight has absolutely nothing to do with it. It's the fact that the event has to raise a certain level of funds in order to pay the event costs and the purses, the only way to do so and make a profit is for this to be PPV.

Just ordered it now. I feel pathetic, weak-willed and ashamed.

I know it's a rip off, but I go up to my Grandad's house and have a few beers and watch the boxing with him. I'm not hard up for £15, so it doesn't bother me. If I was skint then i'd find another way of watching it. Plus, if it wasn't for the boxing i'd probably go out tonight and spend 60 quid. If that makes me a mug then so be it . . .

I didnt buy that ****, **** that. I thought Billy Joe Saunders looked class there.

  7. I spent the whole f*ing evening trying to buy Harrison Haye. I finally got through at about 11 O'clock, 30 seconds before the main event started. So £15 for 3 terribloe, terrible rounds.

    Never again.

Incidentally, anyone know if this is being streamed? (Properly). I paid £2.50 for Khan McCloskey, in great quality on V-Streams and I'd love to do the same tonight. **** Sky and **** Murdoch.

  8. The hardcore will always pay. Sky should be looking to grow the market, absolute bellends they are, charging for this.

  9. Get a grip mate. What do you think Sky did in the early days of Premier League football? Subsidised the games, grew the league as a brand and now they're raking in the profits.

The same model could and should apply for boxing. No casual fans are paying for this. They need to subsidise the weaker cards by putting them on Sky Sports and paying the organisations for the priveledge. Then when there's a genuinely good card rake in the money. Business 101 ffs.

It's bad for boxing, and a slap in the face to genuine fans.

It doesn't matter what level of fight it is, like any product it's about supply and demand. It's a free country let people buy it if they want to!

  12. And the Froch/Kessler fights are free to air! Unbelievable!

You've just reminded me that lots of games used to be PPV on Sky. That seems a long long time ago.
