But Hopkins ranks higher in ATG status, much higher - His achievements are astonishing and is entering the realm of truly elite fighters - Jones and Taylor beat Hopkins but he ranks higher than them also.

Calzaghe beat Hopkins fair and square!! That being said, his victory over Hopkins, great as it is, does not supersede the many great Hopkins victories.

 

What this victory means for Calzaghe:

1. Solidifies the fact that the Hopkins Calzaghe defeated was a world level operator and bonafide legend.
2. Solidifies the fact that even now, the RJJ-Calz-Hops generation is superior to the current generation.
3. He was right to have retired when he did. He fought the best man in his generation and won in said best man's hometown.
4. Hopkins is the best fighter legacy-wise out of the trio.

i'm undecided about you, your not quite as big a ***** as popkins. with popkins being a student, a different IP address is possible but i'm not 100% convinced anymore because you have a tiny bit of personality and humour where as popkins has none.
