Remember what Chris Eubank said about DeGale in 2009?

Amir Khan is more Hungry then Degale, Degale loves the limelight more then the boxing, Degale should of put it all on the line because it was a close fight, he had more left in the locker then Groves, Groves dug deep in the end, Degale did not !

 

I doubt anyone is in a position to question the guys commitment apart from James himself. He came up short because he was'nt good enough, lets wait and see before throwing him on the scrapheap.

I completely disagree. I hate all these comparisons to Audley I think Degale is on a different level skillwise and mentally.

People are mistaking this cocky persona he has as a weakness meaning he doesnt have the mentality. Make no mistake Degale has a fighting mentality he will go into the trenches if he has to he has the dedication and hunger. If anything tonight will make the fire burn harder.

 

He needs a new trainer.

 

The main problem for me isn't hunger anyway. It's technique.

James might look flashy but his technique is far from great. He doesn't punch properly. He stands too square on and as George Groves proved, when someone boxes against him he looks more confused than he sounded in the whole 3 minutes of the James DeFail video.

Some top quality sparring vs fighters that can box on the backfoot would of shown this flaws. I dont think anyone can underestimate the difference in quality between Degale and Groves sparring partners. I have no doubt groves may of took some real licks in sparring and got schooled at times but thats how a young fighter improves.

 

Man the last think you want is an immediate reaction... De Gale will do fine, he will win world titles and Eubank will be proven wrong!

Eubank get's it. Boxing, more than any other sport, is a hungry man's game.

It must be hard to train and get punched in the face when you're already a millionaire.
