Dawson sure likes to switch trainers a lot.

He started his career with John Scully, than Dan Birmingham, than Floyd Mayweather Sr, than Eddie Muhammad, and now Emmanuel Steward. I don't think it's that bad, I thought Dawson should have stayed with Eddie Muhammad.

How long will Dawson stay with Steward?

His defense was solid, but I don't know if it actually improved under Steward. His offense regressed quite a bit, but I think it was because he was dealing with a puncher. He looked practically the same as his previous fights.

I think changing trainers often is better than staying with someone who you know wont improve you at all.

Like for instance Kelly Pavlik and Jack Leow

Well...steward seems to want his boxers to focus more on balance and basics, he's also good at making tall guys like Dawson fight tall...

Steward was telling him he was losing the fight and Dawson kinda had a look on his face like "realy!?"

but steward just wanted him to be more ruthless and keep the punches consistent

dawson was more aggressive but its his body language that really annoys me, doesn't look like he cares and make him look dull, no character either

He should have stayed with Mayweather Sr., he was masterclass in the Adamek fight. But the change to Steward is a good move. Very solid trainer who does great with tall fighters.

Also its not just his corner, his management seems to be in a state of flux constantly.

Dawson gives the impression that he doesn't like his job very much.

Eddie Mustafa Muhammad was good for Chad.

All of those trainers were good, he seemed most improved under Floyd Sr.

It's not the training thats the issue, it's Dawson. If he fights with that lazy style he's adopted as of late against BHOP, he will get beaten up badly.

ODLH and Holyfield also had multiple trainers in their careers.

Doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing.
