Nah, I dont think so, Degales got more heart than Audley, I think.

If he learns from this then he can turn it around no bother, he's still a massive talent. He underestimated Groves big time last night, didnt even look as though he had a gameplan because he thought his skill and ability would be enough to get it done. Look at him before the fight in the interview and during the ringwalk, he was so relaxed and it's obvious it hadnt even entered his head that Groves might be able to compete with him at this stage, Degale expected an easy nights work. He should take this as a massive boot up the arse, change his attitude, get his trainer to ****, and I still think he'll go quite far.

Audley it took Audley Harrison five years before fightting anyone decent (danny william)

DeGales been fighting quality opposition since about his 6/7th fight

As much as people dislike James and stuff....wasn't the fight a good-un?. Did James get sparked? No..Did he show heart at times?

Dislike the lad fair enough but give the kid his dues if your people that said he'd get sparked and stuff.

Enjoy the win lads but all this let's laugh at DeGale stuff is as childish as his behavior before the fight isn't it?

Get real. He lost by a round. You'd think he'd lost every round to some journeyman the way some people are going on.

    Shut the **** up.

DeGale wasn't knocked out and he wasn't schooled; he lost a close fight against another top prospect and the main reason was that he came in with a terrible gameplan and Groves came in with a well thought out gameplan that he was able to execute. He didn't show any weakness with regards to punch resistance or mentality and is so far removed from Audely Harrison that it's ridiculous to compare them. If DeGale gets a better trainer to go with his clearly abundant talent then he'll go far. To compare him to Harrison after one close defeat is ****ing stupid.

What a stupid comparison, Degale just lost a razor thin decision against another very good fighter, he has already been the British Champ within 10 fights, wtf has Audley Harrison ever done or ever beat?

    **** thread.

I dunno what people are chatting about honestly. Degale actually put more damage on Groves with the classier shots when he decided to turn it on. Groves won on virtue of personality and many people's dislike of Degale than just boxing ability. The Audley comparisons are ridiculous! If anything it was Groves who was backing up and not engaging.

This thread is nearly as **** as the Cleverly beating Hopkins one. Seriously, some people.

I've got an image of Audley giving birth to DeGale in my head now. Not pretty.

To hard to tell at this point. There were some indications Degale could be the next Harrison though.

Well, there are similarities. A boxer with enormous potential yet one who is very flawed. The flaw seems to be a mental quirk which is shared by both. Both very ambitious and both somewhat deluded as to their own weaknesses.
