What is your mood this morning?

I'll tell you mine, I'm happy, sometime I got mix feelings... But at the end of the day, I'm a boxing fan. No other fight gave me butterfly like this, even at the verdict I was still happy about what my eyes was witness. Pascal was classy, Hopkins was classy, the crowd was classy.

Could a fight fan ask for more?

Thanks for Jean Pascal and Bernard Hopkins for the most intense boxing match I ever been withness.

Jean is hell of a champion and I hope one day, I see him again with a belt around his whist. No other boxer would give an optionnal fight against Bernard Hopkins.

    Bravo Jean, on t'aime

Pascal has nothing at all to be ashamed of. He did the best he could. He has fundamentals to work on, and needs to improve his stamina, but he can still have an excellent career, so long as this loss doesn't go to his head, ala Pavlik. He seems like a good guy and was gracious in defeat. The Hopkins fights made me a fan more than his wins did in the past.

    What? lol

I'm happy that Jean lost. He got awarded BS KOs on this first bhop match and got the draw from that... I've been watching JP from his early days, and he hasn't improved much. He keeps saying how he learned from this, learned from that, and the next time all we keep seeing is more and the same. "Vous avez pas vu le vrai Jean-Pascal". Kinda happy this arrogant buffoon will appear as a footnote as the champion who got defeated by the oldest guy in the history of boxing...

I agree. He had/has great potential. Explosive, powerful, fast, his technique is still quite bad, he huffs and puffs like an old man after the 4th/5th round... IMHO, he's too arrogant and this actually works against him, he should definitely work on his fundamentals. "He's like RJJ, but he's not RJJ". If he had a more classical style instead of that sort of RJJ/Hamed I can KO anyone doing whatever the hell I want style, he'd be a much more solid fighter. I'd have thought he'd have learned from Hamed/Barrerra, but no... Hoping that getting defeated by the oldest guy ever to win a championship match wakes him the **** up and he starts getting his **** together... He's still rather young, this ****** should be able to learn new tricks, if he's willing to learn...

Btw, I used to be a Pascal fan, it's just that his buffoon ways and his skill/style stagnation got the better of me...

I really believe he could have been great, but that his ego just prevented him to become so...

The crowd was dead... Well, vs how they're when Bute or the such boxes... You could hear flies fly when they showed images of Pascal in the locker room or during his entrance... It was weird...

About Pascal being classy, boxers when defeated don't really have a choice... What's he to say that Hopkins is a bum? And he got defeated not only by the oldest boxer to win a title but who's also a bum? No... No choice... Seriously, what other can he say other than Hopkins did a great peformance, is a fantastic champion and all that? If he says that Hopkins is a old bum who should retire, what would that say about his own defeated ass?

And again, with Pascal's clowning before the fight "take ze test! take ze test! You a cheater!" and all that, about how he went on the radio whining about how Hopkins badmouthed montrealers, he deserved the beating. He lost the first fight, pretty much everybody knew it, he, let's not ignore this, did rather poorly in his previous performance and this one...

He's a very limited fighter so far... Champ who lost to the oldest guy... Wake the **** up Pascal.

You know, you could quit the forum and just stop being a troll? I don't know if you are trouble minded but there's a plenty of boxer starting by BHOP who complained a ton a **** after a lose. It happened in boxing, in hockey or whatever sport you want.

Pascal acted like a man, that's it.

I hate stupid hater who can't give any credit.

Ocelot I'm not taking to you obviously but you know who...

I was rooting for Pascal even if I didn't think he'd win.

Some of the comments on here are such ****ing bull**** though. There is no doubt Hopkins deserves all the credit in the world but if you wanna suck his dick and then say "pascal sucks" just makes you look like a ****ing idiot.

I think people's lack of reading comprehension makes them look like idiots but that's just me...

Obviously, Pascal does not suck. He was a world champion, world champions do not suck, even with the dozens of different titles available...

But you have to face the facts. Pascal is not the greatest boxer who's ever lived either. He's the guy who allowed bhop to make history by defeating him. And yeah, to give credit where credit is due, Pascal acted well after his loss. Too bad he can't act that way all the time, seeing him act like a buffoon is quite annoying. He couldn't defeat the old man, but said nice things about the old man after he lost to him, Kudos to him... :hi:

Its clear that you don't know much about boxing and/or are a Pascal hater/Bute nuthugger. Plz stfu.

I was really impressed by the fight and Pascal did the best he could and that's why i feel good about the fight. His stock won't go down by much cuz when you fight the best, you lose some and you win some (unlike another fighter in Montreal who never fought a top five fighter in his division)

    no yuo stfu n00b

Because you've not seen much boxing

So the **** what? If he had a better technique he could have done not as best as he could and still win... You don't get pts for trying or effort.

Oh if you feel good about that fight then I guess all is good... It's all about your precious little feelings... Did I hurt your feelings? Ooh boohoo that would be so sad...

Hopkins was top5? I thought he was retired...

Pascal attempted to make a name out of defeating Hopkins, just like Macho did vs Leonard, MayFlower vs Hoya, Danny Green vs RJJ, etc., only in his case it backfired because he was was unable to defeat the past prime fighter...

I've been saying that Pascal is a joke for years. Very amateurish, throws combinations and then runs, and has serious endurance problems. He mate it in the history books last night...just not in the way he wanted.
