Hopkins vs Dawson in Montreal Canada?

They may as well try it in Canada. I doubt they sell 2500 tickets to that fight in the states.

 

Bradley vs Holt was fought in Montreal and drew 7.5 thousand

I was one of them and would be for Hopkins vs Dawson of course.

I think Montreal fans have a soft spot for Hopkins now if they didn't prior to him fighting Pascal. They would definitely want to see him again.

I'm sure they can realistically draw 10 000 fans with a decent undercard.

 

I was in Quebec city in a bar watching the fight. I would say that about a third of the crowd was cheering for Hopkins, and most people who were cheering for Pascal had a lot of respect for Hopkins.

 

I wouldn't be shocked if the fight sold out in Canada. Both Hopkins and Dawson have fought there a few times and the fans are familiar with them and they seem to really like Hopkins!

Montreal already IS a good boxing town since few years.

 

I was there too, Bradley vs Holt card was on of the best card in recent years (in MTL), plus tickets were cheap for such a big card.

 

I also hope that the rumors are true about Pascal being on the under card ..Finally we will see why Hopkins avoided Bad Chad ..

 

Chad Dawson has ZERO popularity in Quebec. First he shat on the province. And second he fights like he has ZERO heart. Third his fight against Diaconu was boring as hell. No one would pay for that ****.

Hopkins is very much respected and beloved on the other hand. He could draw good.
