Ive been thinking about this. He seems to me to be the most flawless fighter ever in terms of technique. He has no significant bad habits like Hopkins does (dropping his head).

    discuss?

To pick flaws in this guy you really have to scrape the barrel but I'll give it a go.
Errrm.................Seems to stand a little bit stiff sometimes but I think there's a possibility I'm talking out of my arse here so I'll drop that one.
Not really a technique thing but sometimes he's a bit too methodical and can leave it a bit late imo (ODLH) Of course you could say he paces a fight brilliantly instead.

People seem to forget De La Hoya had him for the first 8 rounds and in my opinion if he had the stamina in the old legs to outwork him he would have won on points.

This Pretty Boy bandwagon is getting way out of control and people need to stop drinking Mayweather cool aid.

Mayweather's technique can be very flawed at times. He drops his hands, pulls straight back. Throws one punch at a time. Ask yourself this... If someone who was not as fast and had not as good reflexes as Floyd, would they be successful? Probably not. Now, Floyd DOES have good technique when he wants to. He does have sound fundamentals unlike other 'reflexive' fighters who have come before him. He does not really need to rely on it though, but it's there for him to fall back on.

Hopkins on the otherhand, is all technique. He's not overly fast, he's not overly strong. He's damn old!
What you persieve as his "dropping his head", is actually a way of avoiding getting hit after he rushes in with a straight right.

mayweather is good but people are on his dick WAY TOO MUCH. mayweather CAN be beaten. why are people sucking his dick after beating Hatton. Hatton is garbage.

The flaws you named are only a product of PBF at a weight class too high for him to compete at his normal pace. Hopkins hasn't faced this adversity, and therefore always uses technique. PBF cannot throw combos and risk being caught like much bigger men, so he resorts to other tactics.

True, but that doesn't stop him from making the least of all humans. I cannot off the top of my head think of a more technically sound fighter.

Well, he is retired, and never turned pro, but IMO from a technical standpoint Mario Kindelan was noticeably more sound, and was just as good an athlete (speed, reflexes) than anyone I've ever seen.
