I think he is capable of getting a belt at cruiser, a guy like green is interested I think hopkins can handle him, do you think he should go for it or stay at 175 target dawson and bute?
oww I thought he had a belt but he only has the ibo belt. Oki then instead huck, he has power but is more of a streetfighter then a real boxer, if lebedev could beat him then a great technician like bhop easily wins.
Interesting question. Hopkins coming in over the weight limit is an indication that it might be a bit harder for him to lose that last few lbs. He might actually be a better CW right now because he'll be facing slower guys and he won't have to drain his body. So he might feel more fresh and stronger. But i think he's going to go with Dawson/Bute route.
No, he should stay at LHW.. Dawson and Bute are perfect fights before reitrement.. Green is a nobody who calls out old fighters and people on the IR..... Huck is too hard of a hitter... LHW is the place to be for him.. IMO
Green brings some pretty good money to the table, and just beat an undefeated up and comer. He also thrashed RJJ where Hopkins struggled to do so. IBO belt is a joke though, and the fight would do nothing for Hopkin's legacy. As far as legacy goes, Dawson would be a good option. But if Hopkins could go up and take Cunningham's IBF belt then that would probably be an even better legacy option. IMHO Dawson is a better fighter, but jumping up to cruiser from middleweight and grabbing a legit belt sounds better. Green probably makes the most money, but Hopkins has shown very little interest in that fight.
hopkins loses at cruiser too small doesnt hit hard enough and was hurt by Pascal what would guys 25 pounds heavier do vs an even older Hopkins
I can't disagree with you there.. but I don't know if Hopkins could beat Cunningham.. don't they have the same trainer?? Hopkins could beat Green to me.. but yeah I think he's gonna stay at LHW.. but time will tell with boxing
