Hopkins could have been a elite fighter in any era!

    A younger version of Hopkins...of course. Not this one though. This version would get beat up in the stronger LHW eras.

    :lol: Roy Jones was a better fighter than Hopkins. Calzaghe has the perfect style to beat Hopkins. In order to beat Hopkins you have to make the fight high paced. Also some people believe Hopkins beat Calzaghe. Finally, fighters lose.

    Hopkins has the right mentality, dedication to his craft, and ability to fight and win the "ugly" kind of fights to have excelled in any era. I don't believe he'd have been an ATG champ in all of them because middleweight's probably the deepest division in history and some of the eras were downright insane in how good they were. Totally different ballgame than the last 15 years at 160.

    Still, he'd always represent himself well because the tools that make him successful in the 90's and 2000's translate well to any era. He'd always be successful, just not 20 defense successful.
