What did you predict for it? Most *******s predicted well over a million. Arum predicted sales through the roof. I predicted just above Clottey numbers and was name called and said to be butthurt by you *******s. If it did as I predicted, they are reasonable numbers but far from the numbers that Arum and you *******s were predicting and hoping for, which is what would make it a failure. How much was Pacquiao guaranteed to fight Mosley? Exactly.....he was guaranteed a fight purse that would make having PPV sales under 1 million to be considered a failure. .......and that ******* is the bottom line.
When Arum stated that Pac-Mosley had done at least 1.2 million, the report was that the exact figure would be released within a week. Its been over two weeks now and not even a statement by Arum on the official numbers. Its the same routine by Arum everytime a PPV of his does less than expected. He announces an inflated preliminary figure and then he's not heard from again on the matter. Arum did the same in his previous PPV with Cotto-Mayorga, he announced an inflated figure and its been months now and he has yet to release the official numbers on that fight. Typical Arum, he points the finger at someone else other than himself of his fighters...... Arum months earlier had said he would never work with HBO again in the near future, citing that Showtime/CBS offered a broader audience to promote the fight too. How easy Arum dismisses his own words when money is involved. HBO is now back in the running to televise the the 3rd Marquez-Pacquiao fight. ......this a sure sign that Arum is'nt happy with the sales of Pac-Mosley. It looks like Arum is going to blame it on Showtime and switch back to HBO!:rofl:rofl:rofl Here's a link that collaberates my assertions....... http://www.examiner.com/fight-sport...early-pacquiao-vs-mosley-pay-per-view-numbers
I'm glad that piece of **** fight flopped... Arce earned his pay though :good Anyways hopefully it does go to HBO... they are on another level when it comes to broadcasting a show...
The fact that they have not released them yet suggest this didnt do very well. It shouldnt take this long to release PPV numbers.
I'll be rooting for the fight to go to Showtime. We both know that HBO is biased toward Pacquiao, and that Lederman has his scorecard already filled out. HBO is more glitz and glamour yes, but Showtime offers better analysis of the happenings of the fight itself. That Showtime crew with Bernstien and Tarver is much more respected in terms of honesty and fairness to call a fight than the HBO team. ......and I think that fairness is needed so that the viewing audience which includes the non-boxing media doesnt get brainwashed. Unfortunately however I think Bob Arum in on the same page that I am and he may very well chose HBO taking my concerns into account.
