Bernard is not over the hill , although he is well past prime. He is winning his fights nowadays by simply outwitting his opponents more than using the physical attributes that he possessed 7-8 years ago. This is why his fights are now so "boring". Sorry, but Calzaghe didn't fight Bhop at his best.

 

Pascal is pretty much tailor made for Hopkins at this point in his career. Pascal is not very active, throws few punches, and tends to gas in the second half of fights.

Slappy beat Hopkins when both were past their primes.

I get that some of his nuthuggers are convinced he is the best to ever lace up a pair of gloves. But get real, Slappy has a couple of decent wins but did not do nearly enough to get universal acclaim.

 

That's more of an indictment on the current light heavyweight division than a compliment to Hopkins.
