Warren needs to groom Degales persona...

The guy needs Max Clifford I swear.

 

The only way I see DeGale winning back over some of the public is seeing in very deep water against a fighter from another country where DeGale is forced to show no quit. If he can show real grit and determination in a fight, lose some of the arrogance then the public will probably back him when he fights boxers from abroad.
But I can't see him ever being Mr Popular in the UK especially when he fights another Brit.

 

All the Warren grooming in the world won't help if DeGale doesn't develop a genuine sense of humility. Look at someone like Joey Barton. Always in trouble, and always apologising straight after and swearing to never to do it again via a statement made by his PR people, rinse and repeat.

A lot of Groves' appeal is that he seems a genuinely nice guy and more importantly, down to earth, and you can't teach anyone that. They have to learn for themselves.

 

From this point on, Degale will still be the bigger fighter and have more success.

Nobody i know, says to me......"Are you watching the George Groves fight..?"

But everyone says....."Are you watching the James Degale fight...?"

He's a bigger fighter, more exciting personality and athlete.

More people will still watch James Degale, weather they like or dislike him.

FACT.

 

DeGale should just be himself... its his results in the ring that will ultimately define him. Just focus on that and the rest will fall into place.

 

Do you not think that the fight between Groves and De Gale showed that Groves is a talent as good as De Gale? If both keep developing and improving over the next couple of years we, paying public, will benefit from exciting fights.

As for De Gale being the bigger fighter etc he did himself no favours over the past couple of months. He came across as a bit of a fanny to most people. He's still a good fighter but at this time George Groves is top dog and has shown himself to be the better more rounded athlete. It's up to De Gale to pick himself up and show that he is the great talent taht he and his team have been telling everyone he is.

The loss has come at the best time for him. Lets hope he gets his feet on the ground and realises that he has a lot of work to do to unleash his potential.

 

Why don't you stop crying about DeGale's mean and horrible persona? Get a grip. Thats the way he either is, or chooses to portray himself as a boxer. Pull yourself together, he doesn't need any PR ****. What will happen will happen. It's down to him how his career goes from here, primarily based on what he does in the ring.
